Imiin Co., Ltd., a leading Korean OEM/ODM cosmetics manufacturer, has announced the commencement of construction on its second factory, aimed at creating a robust production system capable of delivering 500 million units annually.

Located near the company's headquarters in Osan, Gyeonggi Province, the new facility will span approximately 30,000 square meters with a target completion date set for June 2027.

The second factory will primarily focus on expanding Imiin's basic skincare product line.

Upon completion, the production lines will nearly double from over 40 to around 90, with the basic skincare division projected to see a seven-fold increase in production capacity.

This initiative is designed to elevate Imiin's annual revenue potential to approximately 500 billion KRW, reflecting a strategic pivot toward meeting global consumer demands.

With the second factory's launch, the operational roles of the two facilities will become distinctly defined.

The first factory will take charge of manufacturing and packaging sheet masks and hydrogel products, while the new facility is set to become the cornerstone for core future products in the basic skincare category.

This dual-factory strategy aims to enhance both process efficiency and response speed by fostering a specialized production framework that minimizes lead times for various product lines.

In response to the growing market landscape, Imiin is investing heavily in a fully automated operational system that encompasses production, manufacturing, and logistics, utilizing IoT and AI technologies.

The integration of IoT sensors and data collection devices throughout the manufacturing process will optimize operational stability and process efficiency while reducing quality deviations.

This solid integration of automation is expected to augment Imiin's quality assurance framework significantly.

Notably, Imiin was the first ODM company in Korea to receive CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice) certification, illustrating its commitment to maintaining international production standards.

Moreover, the second factory will incorporate modular lines suitable for small-batch production and agile response capabilities.

This approach aims to enhance customer-tailored production services and improve overall response times from product development to delivery.

The implementation of a real-time production management (POP) system, alongside a manufacturing execution system (MES), will ensure ongoing oversight of the production process.

Automation will extend to material handling, sorting, and quality inspection, thereby increasing both productivity and product quality.

Imiin will also deploy AI-driven autonomous mixers that utilize IoT sensing to monitor blend conditions in real-time, thus fortifying the stability of its manufacturing processes.

By linking its weight management system (RWS) with the MES, Imiin will enhance the verification protocols for real-time tracking and validation of its manufacturing processes.

In the logistics sector, Imiin is collaborating with global logistics specialist LOGISALL to construct and optimize an automated logistics system, ensuring maximum operational efficiency.

This investment aligns with Imiin's strategy to connect research-driven initiatives with production competitiveness, particularly in enhancing its capacity for tailored product offerings and responsiveness to consumer demands.

With a focus on expanding its basic skincare and hydrogel business lines, Imiin is poised to strengthen its position in the global market.

Imiin representatives have stated that the construction of the second factory signifies an essential investment in enhancing technology-based ODM competitiveness, with a commitment to continuously improve its responsiveness to global customer needs.

Founded in 2006 as a sheet mask specialist, Imiin has evolved into a representative of the global K-beauty ODM sector by pioneering the hydrogel category and expanding its portfolio across various skincare domains.

With over 240 client partnerships across 100 countries, Imiin regularly participates in major international trade exhibitions such as Cosmoprof and Makeup in New York, which serve to broaden its global network.

Through continued innovation and high-quality production standards, Imiin aims to solidify its leadership in the ODM space, representing the essence of K-beauty on the global stage.
