The Seoul Economic Promotion Agency (SBA), under the leadership of CEO Kim Hyun-woo, has successfully concluded the 27th Global Representatives Conference and Export Consultation Meeting, which took place from March 31 to April 1 at the COEX Magok Exhibition Center.

The event served to connect the global network of Korean entrepreneurs operating in 70 countries with promising domestic SMEs in a bid to expand their overseas market access.

Drawing approximately 1,200 global buyers, the event underscored the surging interest in K-trends across various sectors.

The SBA curated a dedicated 'Seoul Pavilion' featuring 50 of Seoul's top companies within the beauty, food, and lifestyle sectors.

Participating firms expressed overwhelming satisfaction with the high-quality exhibition infrastructure and systematic buyer-matching system that the pavilion offered.

Strategically located at the heart of the exhibition space, the Seoul Pavilion attracted continuous foot traffic from buyers throughout the duration of the event.

A representative from Fashion Factory Co., Ltd., a participant categorized as a Hi-Seoul Company, remarked, “This was a highly meaningful opportunity to discover new buyers from diverse countries that align with our target market and to expand brand awareness.”

The SBA’s robust support coupled with the high caliber of products showcased by the participating companies resulted in an impressive 887 business meetings during the two-day event.

Notably, export consultations on-site totaled approximately $48.29 million (around 72 billion KRW), culminating in 40 memorandums of understanding (MOUs) being signed—a remarkable achievement for all stakeholders involved.

Among the participating companies, Cheongchun Organic particularly stood out, securing around $5.5 million (approximately 80 billion KRW) in export consultations, drawing significant attention as a prime opportunity for future growth.

Beyond fostering initial connections, this export consultation meeting is anticipated to yield visible results through subsequent contractual agreements and ongoing transactions as a direct outcome of these meetings.

CEO Kim Hyun-woo stated, “This event showcased the synergy achieved through the convergence of the global Korean entrepreneurial network and the competitive strengths of Seoul’s businesses.

We will continue to actively support efforts to translate these outcomes into real export growth through post-event virtual meetings and additional follow-up initiatives.”
