The Italian Trade Agency announced on the 21st that it successfully concluded the 'Italian Beauty Days 2026,' held on April 20th and 21st at High Street Italy in Sinsa-dong. This initiative, organized in collaboration with the Italian Cosmetics Association, focuses on boosting the entry of Italian cosmetics brands into the Korean market, making it the third consecutive year of the event since its inception in 2024.

A B2B consultation was held as part of the event to promote Italian beauty products, attracting numerous local buyers who engaged directly with brand representatives. This dialogue facilitated an active exchange on product characteristics and market entry strategies, highlighting potential collaboration opportunities in South Korea's distribution landscape.

For the B2B event, 16 Italian companies covering various sectors—including face care, body care, sun care, hair care for professionals and consumers, color products, fragrances, oils, and diffusers—visited Korea to engage in diverse business discussions such as buying, OEM, ODM, exclusive distributorships, and partnerships. Notably, this year's event showcased cutting-edge beauty technologies and trends, including AI-driven skin analysis solutions, garnering significant interest from Korean buyers.

A networking event co-hosted by the Italian Embassy and the Italian Trade Agency took place on the evening of the 20th, with Ambassador Emilia Gatto extending a warm welcome to the attendees. This setting fostered valuable connections among industry stakeholders.

Ferdinando Gueli, director of the Italian Trade Agency's Seoul office, emphasized that 'Italian Beauty Days' has consistently provided opportunities for new Italian brands to engage with Korean buyers and industry representatives for three years. Gueli noted the increasing success stories in collaboration and plans to expand the events across various fields to continuously create substantial cooperative opportunities.

Mariana Migues, representative of Cosmetica Italia, remarked on the robust growth of the Italian cosmetics market, which boasts strong competitiveness in global trends and R&D. She affirmed that this year's event highlighted diverse, innovative products that complete Italian beauty routines, further stating that both Italy and Korea share a dynamic and trendy common ground. Migues hopes that this synergy will expand the reach of Italian beauty in the experience-seeking Korean market.
