CJ Olive Young, a frontrunner in South Korea's beauty retail sector, is poised to open a significant chapter in its global outreach with the 'Olive Young Festa Japan 2026', scheduled for May 8 to 10 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture.

This festival aligns with the concurrent 'KCON Japan 2026', together amplifying the celebration of K-Beauty on an international scale.

Launched in 2019, the Olive Young Festa stands as Korea’s inaugural beauty festival, consistently evolving in scale and content over the years.

This event has created an essential platform where brands engage directly with consumers, showcasing their philosophies and products.

As Olive Young expands its cross-border retail footprint, including the opening of U.

S. brick-and-mortar stores and a partnership with Sephora, the import of K-Beauty into new markets is a pivotal objective.

The Olive Young Festa Japan 2026 will host 55 brands within a substantial 541 square meters (approximately 164 pyeong) exhibition area, featuring trendy K-Beauty products and unique content.

The booths are designed to mirror Olive Young stores, with immersive spaces reflecting the bustling streets of Myeongdong and Hongdae, enhancing the shopping experience.

To effectively present the latest trends in K-Beauty, a special 'Curation Zone' will spotlight Olive Young's core competency in product selection.

This zone includes two key areas: the 'Korean Cosme Ranking Zone' and the 'K-Beauty Select Zone'.

The Korean Cosme Ranking Zone will feature 36 products across 12 categories derived from the '2025 Olive Young Awards', allowing even the most novice K-Beauty consumer to make informed choices.

Meanwhile, the K-Beauty Select Zone will guide visitors through step-by-step routines based on systematic beauty regimens intrinsic to Korean culture, focusing particularly on skincare, color cosmetics, and inner beauty products.

For participants unfamiliar with K-Beauty, designated 'K-Beauty Genius' team members will provide on-site advisory, suggesting tailored products and routines.

In a bid to convert product discovery into tangible consumer benefits, an 'Ori-Yang Limited Zone' will offer K-Beauty product sets at promotional prices.

Attendees will have the opportunity to test products onsite and purchase them from Olive Young's global mall at exclusive prices.

Additionally, customers will receive coupons for discounted purchases and hidden benefits applicable during the Olive Young Sale period.

Furthermore, exclusive beauty experiences that previously could only be accessed in Olive Young stores will now be available at the festival, enriching local customers’ K-Beauty experiences.

Services such as a 'Touch-Up Lounge', where beauty consultants provide quick makeup touch-ups, and a 'Bioheel Zone', which diagnoses skin concerns and recommends suitable products, are among the highlights.

Engagement activities, including completion of simple tasks for stamps, will reward participants with prizes and unique experiences, including random goodie bags featuring products valued at approximately 30,000 KRW.

An Olive Young spokesperson emphasized the importance of this inaugural festival in Japan, remarking that it will allow local customers to enjoy an immersive K-Beauty experience while significantly expanding the global K-Beauty fanbase.

Based on experiences garnered from domestic and Japanese festival operations, Olive Young plans to present a grand and evolved showcase when the festival moves to Los Angeles in August.

With the Olive Young Festa serving as the original K-Beauty festival, connecting brands and consumers while cultivating a domestic fanbase, CJ Olive Young is set to integrate extensive festival expertise into this world tour.

The objective is to not only enhance the scale and localization of content but also to spearhead the global K-Beauty landscape effectively.
