Pharma Research MediCare, under the leadership of CEO Seo Young-jae, has reported a significant uptick in demand for its pharmacy-based cosmeceutical ampoule, Rejuve-S.

Since its launch in December of last year, the product has leveraged the influx of foreign tourists visiting South Korea, achieving sales growth of approximately 120% by March of this year, compared to its introductory figures.

This surge in demand can be attributed to the rising trend of 'pharmacy shopping,' where consumers increasingly prioritize products based on functionality and active ingredients.

Notably, foreign patients who have undergone dermatological procedures in South Korea are increasingly inclined to purchase at-home care products alongside their treatments, positioning pharmacy channels as critical touchpoints for this consumer segment.

Rejuve-S stands out for its potent formulation, featuring a high concentration of c-PDRN, a proprietary ingredient from Pharma Research designed to enhance skin soothing and promote cellular turnover.

Additionally, it incorporates niacinamide and adenosine, enhancing its appeal with skin brightening and anti-wrinkle properties.

Building on the success of the nation’s first PDRN topical solution, Rejuve Neck Cream, Pharma Research MediCare is strategically bolstering its pharmacy-centered skincare lineup with Rejuve-S.

This two-pronged approach aims to create a comprehensive portfolio that addresses recovery care post-procedure as well as everyday skin maintenance.

A spokesperson from Pharma Research MediCare noted, “The shift toward ingredient and efficacy-focused consumption among foreign tourists has rapidly accelerated the demand for pharmacy skincare.

We are committed to extending the momentum initiated by Rejuve Neck Cream to our Rejuve line, aligning with this growing trend.” The company's strategy not only capitalizes on current consumer preferences but also sets the stage for sustained growth in the rapidly evolving landscape of a health-conscious beauty market.

As foreign consumer habits continue to evolve, buyers and investors within the global beauty space must keep an eye on similar trends that reflect a broader shift towards transparency in ingredient sourcing and functionality-driven purchases.

Pharma Research MediCare's strategy positions it well to capitalize on these dynamics, whether through direct-to-consumer channels or partnerships with international distributors, making it a noteworthy player in the global beauty supply chain.
