The Uzbekistan Derma & Beauty Expo 2026, held from April 27 to 29, concluded successfully, positioning itself as a significant event in the beauty industry landscape. With its 30-year history, this exhibition is the largest of its kind in the region, attracting global industry players and creating a platform for insightful B2B interactions. The International Beauty Industry Trade Association (IBITA) curated a Korean pavilion featuring over 20 companies, including Wooshin Cosmetics and Cocostory, marking a pivotal moment for Korean brands to expand their footprint in Central Asia.

The Uzbekistan exhibition, hosted at the Tashkent International Exhibition Center, united stakeholders from 26 countries including the UK, Switzerland, Turkey, the US, China, Germany, Italy, and the UAE. Of the approximately 300 participating companies, the 20 Korean firms actively showcased K-Beauty and K-Medical offerings, highlighting their competitive strength and attracting significant global attention.

Importantly, this expo did not merely serve as a standard exhibition; it focused on generating tangible business outcomes. Over 60% of the 15,000 attendees were identified as buyers from hospitals, clinics, and distribution channels, facilitating dynamic B2B networking. This high-caliber participation led to over 1,500 business consultations, establishing the event as an essential stepping stone for companies eager to penetrate the Central Asian market.

In addition to product displays, live demonstrations of the latest medical beauty trends and high-level seminars allowed participants to engage deeply with technological advancements and clinical expertise, surpassing the confines of mere product showcasing.

During the expo, IBITA's President, Yoon Joo-taek, representing the GCC Korea delegation, also conducted tours for around 40 buyers from 19 countries within the GCC Global Cosmetic Cluster, spotlighting Korean brands among international stakeholders.

The rapid economic growth and surging demand for beauty and healthcare in Central Asia were underscored by this expo, reinforcing the trust and interest in K-Beauty and K-Medical sectors among local consumers and businesses. The active involvement of Korean enterprises further affirms their reputation and engagement in the region.

IBITA's team member, Yoon Kyu-yeon, expressed optimism that the 2026 Uzbekistan Derma & Beauty Expo would evolve into a strategic platform for envisioning the future of the global beauty and medical industries, while also opening new market opportunities.
