The Korea Makeup Artists Professional Exchange Association announced that it has successfully concluded a series of visits hosted by Yamano Beauty Co., laying the groundwork for expanded collaboration in the beauty and education sectors between South Korea and Japan.

From April 26 to 29, the delegation, led by President Mitsuo Yamano, engaged extensively with domestic beauty educational institutions and industry settings. This aligns with the growing trend of fostering bilateral exchanges to enhance educational frameworks and operational standards in both countries.

On April 27, the visiting delegation toured Seogyeong University, where they met President Bum-jun Kim, Director of International Exchange Dong-hee Kim, and Vice Dean Se-young Shin of the College of Beauty Arts. This visit provided insights into the South Korean beauty education environment, a crucial aspect for developing a collaborative educational model that may influence future student exchanges.

Subsequently, the delegation visited the beauty company 'Gawi Story' in Uijeongbu to observe practical industry applications, as well as holding discussions with industry stakeholders at the Asian Model Organization. Such interactions are instrumental in shaping a practical exchange model that can translate into tangible benefits for both nations' beauty sectors.

On April 28, an official meeting at the association's offices involved strategic discussions between both entities. Attending were President Mi-ryeo Ahn, along with Directors Seung-ah Lee and Sun-il Lee from the Korea Makeup Artists Association, as well as President Mitsuo Yamano and Executive Leo from Yamano Beauty Co. Their discussions focused on actionable collaboration strategies, including domestic beauty product market analysis, short and long-term student exchange initiatives, and information sharing regarding the beauty markets in both countries.

The visiting delegation's agenda also included educational engagements at the Mega Study Beauty Academy in Hongdae, guided by Representative Hyun-ji Kwon, and a visit to Crown Wig in Jongno 5-ga, led by CEO Yong-ho Yu. These visits enhance their understanding of the broader South Korean beauty industry, critical for aligning cooperative educational goals.

President Mi-ryeo Ahn emphasized that this invitation marks a significant milestone in linking the beauty industry and education sectors of Korea and Japan. She noted the commitment to ongoing student exchange and industry collaboration as a means to strengthen global competitiveness.
