Aekyung Industry announced on the 6th that it has successfully facilitated a talent donation activity for Children’s Day in May, where its employees crafted and delivered 62 handmade comfort dolls for children in a childcare facility.
This initiative engaged approximately 60 employees voluntarily, resulting in the thoughtful production of comfort dolls, which were distributed to children at the Parang Dream Center in Eunpyeong-gu through the Bodum Sharing Volunteer Group.
Since its inception in 2022, Aekyung Industry's comfort doll-making campaign exemplifies its commitment to social contribution and community engagement. This year, employees crafted these dolls painstakingly, channeling their sincere emotions into the effort to provide warmth for the children.
The concept of comfort dolls is rooted in object relations theory from psychoanalysis, designed to provide children with psychological stability and emotional solace. Aekyung Industry conceptualized this initiative with the goal of fostering a healthier growth environment for children during their formative years.
An Aekyung Industry representative stated, “We hope that children will feel warmth and comfort through these dolls,” reinforcing the brand’s commitment to pursuing diverse community-oriented activities in the future.
This initiative signals a strategic alignment with corporate social responsibility, enhancing Aekyung's brand identity in the beauty sector by demonstrating a commitment to social causes that can resonate with consumers and stakeholders alike.
