The Korea Makeup Professional Exchange Association, led by President An Mi-ryeo, announced on the 30th that it has entered into a strategic memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Beautera, represented by CEO Cho Seo-young. This partnership is set to enhance the global expansion of the K-beauty industry and strengthen market access abroad.
Founded in 2025, Beautera specializes in K-beauty brands and is already initiating its global market entry through its skincare line, 'THE OKRA.' This brand leverages over 25 years of experience in pharmaceutical and cosmetic research and development along with over a decade of marketing and sales expertise, establishing a competitive advantage in both technology and market execution.
The MOU was signed on April 30, and the two organizations plan to construct a collaborative framework aimed at reinforcing competitive strength for K-beauty brands in international markets through the establishment of a robust global network.
Through this agreement, both entities will jointly extend their global networks while embarking on projects designed to facilitate market entry abroad, promoting interactions between domestic and international beauty industries. This approach positions K-beauty brands and content for significant global outreach.
President An Mi-ryeo remarked, “This partnership represents a collaborative model that will practically support the global rollout of K-beauty brands. Leveraging our industrial network, we aim to connect domestic and international markets to contribute to the global competitiveness of K-beauty.”
'THE OKRA' aims to support skin in achieving balance and recovery through its Optimal Key concept, emphasizing solutions that reinforce the skin's inherent functions rather than adding excessive ingredients. This focus is expected to resonate well in a marketplace increasingly driven by efficacy and consumer engagement.
The MOU establishes a framework through which both organizations anticipate creating tangible collaborative results that will accelerate the overseas expansion of K-beauty and support brand market entry initiatives.
