CJ Olive Young announced on the 12th that it is recruiting the seventh cohort of its official creator group, Shutterbrity, for its beauty community app, Shutter. This initiative reflects the brand's strategy to foster deeper connections with its customer base through active engagement and content generation.

Launched in 2023, Shutter is positioned as a customer-driven beauty and wellness community that facilitates interaction through user-generated images and short-form content. By allowing customers to seamlessly discover products associated with trending beauty and wellness themes, the platform generates a 'discovery shopping' experience, effectively linking content consumption with product exploration. This integration is strategically significant as it promotes increased sales conversion through enhanced customer interaction.

Since its inception, Shutter has evolved into a platform where users can share their tastes and preferences, thereby creating a communal 'beauty playground.' This not only distinguishes CJ Olive Young from competitors but also drives higher engagement rates. In the first quarter alone, over one million users engaged with Shutter, underscoring its effectiveness as a participatory community within the beauty sector.

To further diversify content offerings and amplify customer engagement, CJ Olive Young has committed to selecting and nurturing two cohorts of Shutterbrity creators annually. The newly selected cohort for the upcoming term will be active from June through December and will benefit from opportunities such as product sponsorships, activity points, collaboration with brand partners, and appearances on CJ Olive Young's official social media and live commerce platform, 'Olive Young Live.'

With the aim of enlisting a total of 300 creators, recruitment for Shutterbrity will conclude on the 31st. Any members of CJ Olive Young can apply through the app's featured page. The selected participants will commence their roles after an orientation on the 26th next month, setting the stage for robust co-creation efforts in the beauty space.
