Cosmax announced on the 12th that its consolidated revenue for Q1 2026 reached 682 billion won, representing a 16% increase year-on-year. This performance not only positions the company as a leading player in the cosmetics ODM sector but also highlights the effectiveness of its strategic initiatives in key international markets.

The Korean division alone recorded a revenue of 423.2 billion won, up 17% from the previous year, reflecting a stable demand for K-beauty products in the global market. The growth of export-driven items such as sun care, gel masks, and mists played a crucial role, while direct exports to overseas customers saw over a 30% increase, ensuring a balanced growth across the business portfolio.

The strong results were significantly bolstered by the performance of key overseas subsidiaries. The China division reported a record revenue of 194.7 billion won, increasing 20% year-on-year. Demand from emerging brands for new product launches contributed effectively to this growth, signaling a shift in the market's dynamics. Furthermore, sales channels are diversifying in the Guangzhou region, transitioning from a heavy reliance on online channels to include offline and export activities, which is enhancing overall market conditions.

In the U.S., revenue soared by 46% year-on-year, reaching 42 billion won. An increased share of indie brand clients has led to higher orders for new and existing products. The broadening of product categories—now including base makeup, lip products, blushers, and body care—indicates a strategic move towards balanced revenue streams rather than reliance on singular product lines. The efficiency improvements initiated in the U.S. division are also expected to lead to break-even profitability during the first half of the year based on these results.

Conversely, the Thai subsidiary, despite facing previous year comparisons, achieved a slight revenue increase of 2% to 24.3 billion won. However, the Indonesian subsidiary experienced a 23% decline, recording 22.7 billion won due to political instability and weakened consumer sentiment. Moving forward, Cosmax plans to diversify its client base in Indonesia and expand exports to nearby markets, which is essential for recovery.

A representative from Cosmax stated, "In the context of growing global demand for K-beauty, the balanced growth across our Korean, Chinese, and American subsidiaries has resulted in significant outcomes. We aim to enhance synergy among global subsidiaries and expand our reach into emerging markets to continuously strengthen our competitive edge as the number one cosmetics ODM company worldwide."
