Korea Testing & Research Institute (KTR) announced on the 13th that it has established a collaborative agreement with the Yongin City Industry Promotion Agency to bolster the competitiveness of local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and support their overseas market expansion.
This partnership, formalized by KTR President Kim Hyun-cheol and Yongin City Industry Promotion Agency President Kim Hong-dong, focuses on providing joint programs for testing, certification, and export support for Yongin's SMEs and venture firms.
The Yongin City Industry Promotion Agency operates under the Yongin Special City, executing several initiatives to foster the growth and competitiveness of local businesses. These include domestic and international marketing assistance, specialized workforce training, and support for innovative technology R&D.
According to the agreement, KTR will jointly run enterprise support programs that encompass test evaluations, technical services, and specialized training seminars aimed at enhancing company capabilities. This signifies a proactive approach to workforce development tailored for the local business environment.
Notably, KTR plans to leverage its global partnerships to facilitate international market entries and assist local enterprises in obtaining overseas certifications. Furthermore, the initiative includes collaborative activities focused on utilizing and understanding technological regulatory trends, which are critical for enhancing companies' technical capacities.
President Kim emphasized that this agreement aims to secure competitiveness and market expansion for Yongin's SMEs. By utilizing KTR's accreditation infrastructure and global network, the institute is committed to actively aiding local businesses in their international market endeavors.
