The recruitment period for the third phase of the '2026 Overseas (U.S.) Cosmetics Joint Logistics Support Project' has been extended from May 22 to June 12. This extension addresses the increasing inquiries from Korean cosmetics firms considering entry into the U.S. market, allowing businesses sufficient time to evaluate participation and apply.
Given the expanding demand for K-beauty in the global marketplace, there is a notable surge in the number of Korean cosmetics companies aiming to penetrate the U.S. market. This trend amplifies the importance of reliable logistics operations and responsive delivery systems. Consequently, interest in government and affiliated agency support initiatives aimed at alleviating logistics costs and operational burdens is also on the rise.
The initiative is anchored by a centralized logistics hub established in Los Angeles, facilitating marine transport-based inventory management, volume consolidation, and packaging optimization for participating Korean cosmetics companies. K-Double-U International, the implementing agency, leverages its operational experience with major U.S. e-commerce platforms such as Amazon FBA and FBM to provide multifaceted support for Korean brands responding to local market dynamics.
Creative Label and Upiche plan to support the promotional content and external communications for this initiative, collaborating with select participating companies to create targeted marketing materials for the U.S. market. This strategic approach aims to effectively convey the project’s core components while facilitating participants' market entry. Reports from companies engaged in the program indicate successful establishment of local inventory systems and streamlined logistics processes, leading to substantial cost reductions.
Some firms report reinvesting these lower operational costs into marketing initiatives, thereby strengthening their foundation for increased sales in the U.S. market. Positive feedback is also emerging related to improved local sales volumes and operational efficiencies.
Jeong Jong-kyun, leader of the business development team at K-Double-U International, stated, "We aim to minimize the logistical and operational challenges faced during the initial U.S. entry, enabling Korean cosmetics firms to conduct local sales more securely. Given the extended recruitment period, we look forward to a strong response from interested companies." This program is designated for small to medium-sized enterprises involved in cosmetics manufacturing and responsible sales, and the third phase is currently open for applications. A fourth recruiting cycle is anticipated in August, with further details available on the Allcos website.
