Cosmax announced on the 26th that it participated in the '2026 NYSCC Suppliers' Day' held from the 19th to 20th in New York’s Jacob Javits Center. This event, organized by the New York Society of Cosmetic Chemists, serves as a pivotal exhibition for global cosmetic ingredients and technologies, attracting over 670 companies from 74 countries and more than 10,000 attendees last year. Cosmax used this platform to highlight both the K-beauty trend and technological advancements in efficacy ingredients.

This year marked a significant development with the introduction of a major session focusing on K-beauty, reflecting its ascendant status as a global movement rather than a fleeting trend. The event organizers pointed out that K-beauty's rising popularity warranted a dedicated session, signaling the category's broader acceptance and influence in international markets.

During the 'Next-Generation K-Beauty Trends' session, Cosmax's Strategic Marketing Team Leader, Noh Jeong-Gyun, along with Senior Researcher Park Se-Ho from the Cosmax BTI R&I Unit, outlined the current status and future prospects of K-beauty. The session attracted around 100 participants, a testament to the strong global interest in K-beauty and its ongoing relevance in international markets.

According to representatives from Cosmax and international panelists, the core success factors for K-beauty's global appeal include its 'K-Skincare Philosophy.' This philosophy emphasizes prevention and skin-first principles, which have resonated with consumers worldwide, largely through social media channels. This continual consumer engagement fosters steady growth and expansion for K-beauty in various markets.

Further analysis revealed a shift in the skincare market, moving away from light textures and simple moisturization or whitening claims, toward a demand for scientifically validated efficacy. Noh highlighted that of the emerging next-generation raw materials, PDRN shows the highest potential for market expansion and innovation.

He also presented Cosmax's proprietary technologies, including stabilization and extraction processes, and remarked on the recent resurgence of EGF (Epidermal Growth Factor) as it aligns with current wellness trends. Emphasizing the synergy of superior technology, clear marketing philosophy, and consumer demand, he argued that this combination is key to sustaining market popularity.

Looking ahead, Cosmax identified crucial trends expected to dominate the skincare market in the next 2 to 3 years: the sustained prominence of PDRN, the emergence of NAD+ for skin longevity, and an increased focus on bio-materials such as microbiomes. The firm anticipates that the convergence of skin delivery systems that enhance absorption and advanced stabilization technologies will represent the cornerstone of competitive advantage in next-generation cosmetics.

A Cosmax representative stated, “K-beauty continues to lead global trends based on outstanding efficacy, rapid consumer feedback integration, and innovative marketing strategies. As consumer understanding of ingredients and efficacy improves, we will further bolster our R&D of innovative technologies to strengthen our position as a leading K-beauty company.”
