The Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises and Startups and Korea International Exhibition Co. announced on the 27th that the 'CosmoBeauty Seoul x K-Beauty Festa' will take place from May 27th to May 29th at COEX. This flagship exhibition serves to support the global expansion of promising K-beauty products and marks the largest international beauty trade show in South Korea, continually hosted since 1987.

This year, a record 521 K-beauty companies will participate alongside 180 foreign buyers from 56 countries, underscoring a significant uptick in international interest and engagement. Various programs will facilitate product exhibitions, hands-on experiences, B2B consultations, and seminars focusing on global market entry strategies, thereby activating new revenue streams for participating brands.

Attendees will have the opportunity to explore exhibition and consultation booths located throughout Halls A and B at COEX, featuring distinguished products from various companies. A dedicated area will showcase 14 innovative products recognized as 'Rookie of the Year.' Additionally, product displays from companies supported by the Bucheon Industry Promotion Agency, Jeju Technopark, and Incheon Technopark will enrich the exhibition landscape. A 'Premium Bridge Zone' will also feature 40 high-end products, positioning them for visibility and accessibility.

The event will further include B2B consultations with major foreign buyers, such as Fnac Darty, which has over 1,000 retail locations across Europe, Holt Renfrew, a leading luxury department store chain in Canada, and Mercado Libre, the largest e-commerce platform in Latin America. This creates a strategic opportunity for brands looking to penetrate these key markets, potentially enhancing their sales channels and distribution networks.

Beyond product showcases, a series of seminars will introduce the latest global beauty market trends while also providing regulatory information from around the world, including Europe. Customized entry strategies will be available, bolstering participating companies' capabilities to navigate international landscapes and enhance their market responsiveness.

During the opening ceremony, Minister Han Sung-sook highlighted the remarkable achievement of $11.4 billion in exports last year, representing an all-time high for K-beauty. She emphasized the innovative prowess of small and medium-sized brands as crucial drivers of this global growth. Minister Han also indicated that policies to support the holistic growth of the beauty ecosystem—including beauty devices, eco-friendly raw materials, and packaging—will soon be implemented, ensuring sustained global expansion of K-beauty.
