Polyphenol Factory, led by CEO Lee Hae-sin, announced on the 8th the official launch of grabity PDRN Hair Recovery Shampoo, a product that integrates marine microalgae-derived PDRN and polyphenol coacervate delivery technology. This innovation garnered attention earlier this year at CES 2026, marking a significant milestone in hair care formulation.

Developed collaboratively with KAIST’s distinguished professor Lee Hae-sin and emerging scientists, grabity is strategically positioned with a technological edge. The shampoo has already experienced market success across various domestic and international channels, including Olive Young, Emart, Japan's Rakuten, and Amazon in the USA. Recently, it further solidifies its global K-haircare brand status by entering the prestigious Printemps department store in France.

Targeting consumers aged 40 and above, who often experience hair thinning and damage caused by hormonal changes and frequent chemical treatments, this product aims to overcome long-standing barriers in the haircare sector. Many consumers have found existing functional hair loss shampoos unsatisfactory, leading to inconsistent usage, an issue that remain prevalent in the market.

The grabity PDRN Hair Recovery Shampoo addresses these challenges by utilizing a high concentration of Coacervate Adhesive PDRN complex at 100,000 ppm. With the application of polyphenol-based coacervate delivery technology, it ensures that PDRN remains on the scalp and hair surface even during the washing process, thereby enhancing the efficacy and user experience.

Moreover, the product features KAIST’s patented ingredients, LiftMax308™ and LiftMax615™, designed to improve hair volume and manage dryness and brittleness associated with aging. This clear communication of ingredient concentration is a strategic differentiator, as few brands, including grabity and Rejuran, disclose the sources and concentrations of their PDRN.

Results from human application tests conducted by the Korea Institute of Dermatological Science from December 22, 2025, to January 6, 2026, showed a notable 73.66% reduction in hair loss after two weeks of use. Single-use evaluations confirmed a 43.02% improvement in root volume, a 95.89% retention rate in volume after 24 hours, and a 61.62% increase in hair shine. Safety assessments validated by Germany’s Dermatest (Excellent certification) and France’s EVE VEGAN certification emphasize the low-irritant nature and the absence of harmful heavy metals, reinforcing trust in the product's safety standards.

Chief Financial Officer Choi Sung-sik noted, "There is an increasing demand for stringent ingredient standards and verification in global clean beauty channels, especially concerning animal-derived PDRN products. We expect to enhance the distribution of grabity products within premium clean beauty channels, targeting revenues of approximately KRW 40 billion for this year." Official sales will commence on June 8 across Naver Smart Store and Coupang.
