LG Household & Health Care announced on the 18th that it is embarking on a mission to uncover promising startups that will lead future innovations in the beauty and wellness sector. At the '2026 Seoul Open Innovation Launch Day' held in the Gangnam district of Seoul, the company hosted a business briefing for startups interested in collaboration.

This event is part of the 'Seoul Entrepreneurship Hub Open Innovation,' a startup incubation program organized by the Seoul Business Agency (SBA). During the briefing, LG Household & Health Care outlined key elements of its collaboration roadmap, including partnership directions, recruitment areas, selection criteria, and the proof of concept (PoC) process, along with business validation methods.

The company emphasized the differentiated strengths that can be gained through collaboration, including its robust brand power and global network. Notably, its exceptional research and development (R&D) capabilities position the company to support startups' global expansion, with operations in 13 countries. The operational breadth across cosmetics, daily products, and beverages also allows for significant intersection points where innovative technologies can be integrated.

Recruitment areas focus on beauty tech, AI, consumer tech, and healthcare, inviting companies with technologies that enhance consumers' quality of life to participate, regardless of their industry background.

Selected startups will receive a funding grant of 10 million Korean Won from SBA and will have the opportunity to validate their technological capabilities and commercialization potential with LG Household & Health Care. This initiative aims to identify and nurture startups that align with the company's new vision of becoming a 'Science-Driven Beauty & Wellness Company,' thereby securing future growth drivers.

A representative from LG Household & Health Care stated, "We aim to maximize synergy by combining our brand power and market accessibility with the speed and creativity characteristic of startups. We encourage companies that possess consumer-centric technologies and ideas to participate without restrictions."
