On the 23rd, global total beauty company Aekyung Industry announced that it has received the 'Excellence Certification for Employee Invention Compensation.' This marks the fourth time the company has been awarded this certification, following those received in 2019, 2022, and 2024.

The certification system serves to promote the establishment of employee compensation regulations related to job inventions and to foster a culture of appropriate rewards for employees' inventions. It is granted by the Korean Intellectual Property Office and the Korea Invention Promotion Association to companies demonstrating exemplary management of employee invention compensation. Certified companies benefit from prioritized examination of patents, reduction of registration fees, and additional points when applying for certain government support programs.

Through the Employee Invention Compensation Excellence Certification system, Aekyung Industry is establishing a foundation for the continuous discovery of outstanding research results that can be protected by intellectual property rights. Over the past two years, the company has completed compensation for 40 patent applications and 44 registered patents, actively encouraging inventive activities in accordance with its employee compensation regulations.

An Aekyung Industry representative stated, “Through the active research and development efforts of our employees, various technological innovations are being generated. Moving forward, we will enhance our compensation systems and research support to strengthen our employees' expertise and unique technological competitiveness.”

In addition to the employee invention compensation system, Aekyung Industry continues to engage in research and development activities to activate intellectual property, including holding academic conferences for new technology development and providing ongoing consultations related to inventions. As a result, in the past decade, the company has secured a total of 1,113 intellectual property rights, including 193 patent applications, 162 registered patents, 146 registered designs, and 612 trademark registrations.
