Hwa Sung Cosmetic announced on May 15 that it received the Top Supplier Award from Estee Lauder Companies (ELC) during the Global Supplier Summit held at ELC’s headquarters in New York on May 12. This recognition positions Hwa Sung as a leader in the K-beauty makeup industry and affirms its competitive technology and capabilities on a global scale.

The Global Supplier Summit is a prestigious event that gathers top executives, brand representatives, supply chain management (SCM) experts, and key suppliers from around the world. This year, only 48 out of over 3,000 partner companies were invited, highlighting the exclusivity and significance of the award for Hwa Sung Cosmetic.

Hwa Sung's selection as the best partner was based on a comprehensive evaluation of quality, innovation, speed and agility, business impact, and partnership engagement. The overwhelmingly positive feedback from ELC's global brand portfolio further establishes Hwa Sung’s reputation, particularly given its competition with major OEM and ODM players like Intercos, Chromavis, KDC, Kolmar Korea, and Cosmax.

Despite having a relatively short collaboration timeline with ELC, Hwa Sung successfully entered the portfolios of key brands such as Estee Lauder, Bobbi Brown, Tom Ford, MAC, and Too Faced. This rapid ascent can be attributed to its exceptional product quality and innovative techniques, allowing it to supply a wide range of makeup categories, including eyebrow products, lipsticks, liquid lips, blushes, foundations, liquid eyeshadows, and lip balms.

Building on this accolade, Hwa Sung plans to accelerate its global business expansion. The strengthened partnership with ELC is set to invigorate new projects with family-owned company Nowcos, and there are expectations for a successful audit of ELC’s facilities and quality systems.
