Aekyung Industry announced on the 30th that together with Hope Sharing Association, Bodum Volunteer Group, and Social Cooperative Goori, it successfully hosted the fifth edition of its cultural sharing program, 'Happy Outing,' at Mega Box Goyang Starfield. This program aims to enhance cultural participation for individuals with intellectual disabilities and their families.
Since its inception in 2022, the 'Happy Outing' initiative reflects Aekyung's corporate philosophy of 'Love and Respect,' seeking to improve the quality of life for marginalized neighbors through cultural engagement. This year's event welcomed participants from 35 welfare institutions across districts such as Guro, Nowon, Mapo, Eunpyeong, and Seodaemun in Seoul, as well as Bucheon in Gyeonggi Province, with a total of 691 individuals and their guardians in attendance.
In a strategic move to ensure a positive cultural experience, Aekyung arranged for two films to be screened multiple times, tailored to the preferences and schedules of attendees, across five showings. Each participant received a commemorative gift package comprising Aekyung's daily essentials, enhancing the overall experience and fostering brand loyalty.
Aekyung Industry’s ongoing commitment to social contribution initiatives is crucial in establishing its brand as a community-driven organization, especially in areas where practical support, such as cultural, educational, and daily living assistance, is needed. This approach promotes not only community cohesion but also enhances brand perception among consumers who value corporate social responsibility.
Aekyung's representatives expressed the intention behind 'Happy Outing,' stating, “We hope this event provides joyful memories and meaningful cultural experiences for individuals with intellectual disabilities and their families.” The commitment to expanding cultural opportunities for marginalized groups highlights Aekyung's vision of continuous growth in partnership with local communities.
This initiative signals a broader trend within the beauty and consumer goods sectors toward integrating social responsibility into business models, positioning companies like Aekyung as leaders in corporate citizenship and community engagement.
