Global beauty company Able C&C's flagship brand, MISSHA, announced on the 6th that its revenue on TikTok Shop in the United States has skyrocketed by 3,199% year-over-year in the first quarter of this year. This remarkable growth highlights the brand's successful entry into North America's digital commerce landscape.

Participating in the TikTok Shop K-Beauty Collective held in early June in Dallas, Texas, MISSHA attributed this success to its data-driven marketing capabilities and a content commerce strategy centered around creators. By leveraging real-time analysis of performance data across channels and products, the brand has enhanced marketing efficiency while expanding collaborations with local creators to maximize viral product exposure.

During the event, over 3,000 visitors, including influential TikTok creators and local consumers, engaged with the brand at its booth. More than 200 pieces of user-generated review content were created online under the official hashtag ‘#kbeautycollective’, demonstrating increased organic reach. Following the initiative, MISSHA's global TikTok account gained over 10,000 new followers, underscoring the effectiveness of social media engagement strategies.

The booth was designed to provide an intuitive experience of MISSHA’s brand heritage and product competitiveness. Inspired by the brand's unique technology of 'onggi fermentation', the display emphasized brand storytelling, while showcasing its new PDRN·NAD+ skincare line and the popular BB Cream PRO line in the makeup zone, appealing to North American consumer preferences.

Building on its success as the top performer in the BB Cream category on Amazon in the U.S., MISSHA is rapidly accelerating its North American distribution network. This year, the brand began its entry into Ulta Beauty's online marketplace, successfully establishing a presence in Costco locations across the U.S., Canada, and Taiwan simultaneously. Recently, it also increased its footprint by entering physical stores of Olive Young in the U.S., further bolstering its omnichannel strategy.

Hyun-Kyung Park, Marketing Team Lead at MISSHA, stated, “The U.S. is a rapidly expanding market for K-beauty consumers, and this event reaffirmed the connection between online fandom and offline brand experiences converting into purchases. We will continue to leverage MISSHA’s brand heritage and differentiated product strength to enhance competitiveness in North American digital commerce and expand omnichannel distribution in the future.”

This strategic positioning in the burgeoning North American market signals an important shift as K-beauty brands increasingly adapt to the dynamics of digital commerce and experiential retail. MISSHA’s approach could serve as a blueprint for future industry strategies aimed at integrated online and offline customer engagement.
