GFC Life Science Launches FMK Brand in Vietnam and Italy
GFC Life Science, a bio-material research and development firm led by CEO Kang Hee-chul, has announced the export of 8,000 units of its dermacutical brand ‘FMK’ to Vietnam, as well as its entry into the K-beauty distribution channel in Italy.
The products being exported to Vietnam include the 'Rejuvenating PDRN Kit' and 'Calming Matcha Exosome Kit,' supplied through a local distribution partner's sales channels. In Italy, the brand secured a spot in the local K-beauty distribution channel 'SOOMSELECTION' through the domestic distributor Storymaker, thus establishing a foothold in the European market.
This export and market entry are follow-up results of the exclusive supply agreement signed in August with partners in Vietnam and Italy. GFC Life Science aims to diversify its revenue sources by expanding from its existing bio-material supply business to selling fully integrated branded products.
FMK, launched in March, incorporates unique raw material development technologies alongside freeze-drying techniques across its entire product line. A standout mixing method involves combining freeze-dried cubes with ampoules just before use. Key products include the 'Rejuvenating PDRN Kit,' 'Calming Matcha Exosome Kit,' and 'Signature Timeless Kit.'
The company is also working on regulatory compliance and developing sales networks to support its international business expansion. All products have been registered in the European Cosmetics Notification Portal (CPNP), and procedures related to the U.S. Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act (MoCRA) are underway. Currently, negotiations for exclusive supply deals are ongoing with Ukraine, Poland, and Hong Kong, aiming to secure supply chains in five countries by the end of this year, with a total of fifteen countries targeted by 2027.
Kang Hee-chul, CEO of GFC Life Science, stated, “With the first export to Vietnam and entry into Italy, we will expand local sales channels and product supply, leading to follow-up orders. We aim to develop FMK as a pillar for global growth based on our unique raw material and freeze-drying technologies.”
Additionally, FMK applies its research and development achievements to its brand products. The flagship 'Signature Timeless Kit' features a plant-derived Skin Longevity ingredient, with related research results published in the international journal Antioxidants in July. This study evaluated twenty plant extracts using a human dermal fibroblast aging model, confirming the potential of lotus extract for selective elimination of aging cells.
