J&Co Skin Announces Global Vision to Elevate Dr. Pepti Brand
J&Co Skin, led by CEO Jang Yoo-ho, announced on the 10th its vision for global expansion, coinciding with the brand's 10th anniversary. Operating the premium anti-aging skincare brand Dr. Pepti, particularly known for its peptide-based formulations, the company aims to solidify its position as a representative K-beauty brand through strategic international growth.
Since its establishment in March 2016 and the subsequent launch of Dr. Pepti with the 'Peptide Volume Essence', J&Co Skin has received significant industry recognition, including the prestigious Hit Product of the Year award from Money Today. The brand has achieved numerous accolades, such as being named the top preference among Korean brands in the cosmetic essence category in 2019 and consistently winning premium brand awards for eight consecutive years since 2018, underscoring its strong market penetration and brand loyalty.
J&Co Skin's expansion strategy, which began with the establishment of a Chinese subsidiary in 2019, has since included entry into the Vietnamese and Japanese markets. Notably, in 2023, the brand intensified its localization efforts by entering offline retail spaces like Japan's LOFT and PLAZA and appointing local ambassadors in Vietnam, solidifying its competitive edge through tailored market approaches.
The brand's plan for 2026 includes a strategic pivot towards expanding its distribution channels within hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies. The partnership formed in January this year with Guangdong Pharmaceutical's KD-Shop is a clear signal of this commitment, aiming to broaden the pharmacy distribution network across the country while placing Dr. Pepti in high-profile wellness hubs like Medikingdom and Wellness House Seoul.
Jang Yoo-ho emphasized that while the past decade laid the foundation for Dr. Pepti as a specialized peptide brand, the next ten years will see the company emerging as a leader in the global skincare category. This aligns with plans to enhance its product offerings, including health functional products aimed at senior consumers, to diversify its portfolio and tap into new market segments.
Furthermore, the company recently celebrated its 10th anniversary with a global event in Vietnam on March 21, where around 300 local buyers, partners, VIPs, and influencers gathered for 'Dr. Pepti The Night Gala 2026'. Notably, the attendance of Vietnam's ambassador Bảo Ngọc (Miss Intercontinental 2022 / Miss World Vietnam 2022) highlighted the brand's increasing recognition in the Vietnamese market, aimed at further establishing Dr. Pepti as a leading K-beauty anti-aging brand through expanded outreach in hospitals, pharmacies, and retail.
As J&Co Skin charts its path for the next decade, its strategic developments signal a broader industry shift towards integrating healthcare narratives within beauty brands, showcasing the potential for enhanced consumer engagement by intertwining health and beauty.
