Global Market Expansion Efforts Strengthened Through Practical Marketing at Expos
Companies aiming for global market expansion are focusing on participation in internationally recognized trade fairs, summarizing their strategies with direct engagements with buyers and driving orders. With over 100 international expos hosted annually, an increasing number of businesses prepare and participate in fairs tailored to their unique characteristics. This trend highlights the critical roles played by specialized exhibition firms, travel agencies, and certification organizations that assist cosmetics firms in penetrating foreign markets.
Leading organizations in this initiative include Koico, KOBITA, and IBITA, which are forming Korean pavilions to support small to medium-sized export firms. Additionally, travel agencies like E&C are actively facilitating seamless participation for exhibitors and attendees alike, ensuring a streamlined experience throughout the day and night.
This year, one of the largest cosmetics international exhibitions took place in Bologna, Italy, underscoring the efforts of these organizations. As the cosmetics export sector approaches a $10 billion milestone, the contributions of these entities have become foundational for ongoing market development.
Furthermore, GSC, represented by Jeon Jae-geum, emerged as a notable player by addressing practical needs at the Bologna Cosmoprof. Focusing on providing meals during the event, Jeon prepared kimbap using ingredients sourced in advance from Korea, ensuring they catered to the needs of industry professionals. Additionally, in anticipation of possible shortages, they also offered sandwiches, delivering around 250 meals daily to over 300 booths within the Korean pavilion.
Jeon stated, "During peak times when buyers flock to booths, many encounter situations where they skip lunch due to personnel shortages. Our support is designed to alleviate these challenges and offer tangible assistance during their busy schedules." This proactive approach aligns GSC with client needs, consolidating relationships with key stakeholders.
Noteworthy support also came from Nemobrands, which garnered praise from participating companies. They distributed 500 sets of vitamin candies to mitigate fatigue among partner personnel at their booth after prolonged product presentations. This initiative is not new, as Nemobrands has consistently prepared kimbap and vitamins at major international exhibitions over the past five years, reinforcing customer relationships through continuous support.
A representative from a partner company remarked, "Given the back-to-back meetings and the lack of time to venture outside for meals, the delivered meals and vitamins enabled us to seamlessly manage our afternoon consultations. This thoughtful approach has left us with a strong impression of diligent partnership management." Such sentiments highlight the evolving expectations for B2B engagements in the beauty industry.
