Jeju Cosmetics Achieve Landmark Exports at 2026 Cosmoprof Bologna

Jeju Province announced on the 8th that its cosmetics, reflecting the region's pristine resources, secured contracts worth 3.8 billion KRW at the 2026 Cosmoprof Bologna, marking a significant entry into global markets.

From March 26 to 28, Jeju Province, in collaboration with Jeju Technopark, successfully operated a promotional booth at Italy's renowned beauty trade show. This initiative highlighted the region's commitment to enhancing its presence in the competitive global beauty landscape.

Four certified Jeju cosmetic companies participated in the event: The Lotus Co., Ltd., Jeju Indie Corporation, GLGNB Co., Ltd., and J Beauty Co., Ltd. Their products, utilizing natural ingredients sourced from Jeju, attracted considerable attention from international buyers, reinforcing Jeju's brand identity in the cosmetics sector.

The promotional booth served as a strategic platform for these companies, facilitating local marketing efforts backed by tailored services such as interpreter support, consultation spaces, and export consulting. The proactive approach, including advance buyer matching, significantly increased the likelihood of successful business engagements.

As a result, negotiations with buyers from ten countries—including Italy, the UK, Russia, and Greece—culminated in 76 contracts valued at 3.8 billion KRW. This achievement further validates the global competitiveness of Jeju cosmetics, building on last year’s successes.

Jeong Yeoung-heon, head of Jeju Technopark, emphasized that the evident excellence of Jeju cosmetics is steadily translating into tangible results despite the challenges in the global market. He reiterated the organization's commitment to supporting the cultivation of upstream and downstream industries, as well as improving export conditions to help convert global networks into real revenue.

Moreover, Jeju's cosmetic certification program, managed by the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, guarantees the quality and safety of locally manufactured cosmetics, which incorporate natural ingredients reflective of Jeju's unique environment. The established manufacturing facilities in the province ensure compliance with these standards, enhancing product credibility in international markets.
