On the 9th, Chungbuk Province convened a 'Cosmetics Company Communication Meeting' in Osong to discuss the ongoing Middle Eastern crisis and its implications for local cosmetics firms. This initiative aims to proactively respond to the increasing uncertainties in the export environment and the instability in raw material supply due to prolonged regional tensions.

The gathering brought together 15 participants, including the Director of the Bio-Food and Drug Administration and representatives from local cosmetics companies, to share experiences regarding the impact of the crisis and to identify practical support measures. Key discussion points included challenges related to exports and logistics, guidance on government support policies, options for customized assistance, and suggestions for regulatory improvements focused on business needs.

Companies expressed significant concerns regarding the rising costs of logistics, delays in orders from overseas buyers, and fluctuations in raw material availability, attributing these to increased operational burdens. Recommendations included expanding export insurance, enhancing support for overseas market entry, and stabilizing the supply of raw materials. These insights point to the pressing need for customized support mechanisms to strengthen the resilience of local firms.

Chungbuk Province indicated that it will develop concrete support measures in collaboration with relevant departments and organizations based on feedback collected during the meeting. Continued communication is seen as essential in fostering policies attuned to the realities faced by businesses.

Jang Woo-sung, Director of the Bio-Food and Drug Administration, emphasized the importance of reflecting the voices of enterprises in policy-making amidst escalating external uncertainties.
