The Italian Trade Agency announced on the 21st that it successfully concluded the 'Italian Beauty Days 2026' event, which was held on April 20 and 21 at High Street Italy in Garosu-gil, Sinsa-dong. This initiative, in collaboration with the Italian Cosmetics Association, aims to bolster the entry of Italian beauty firms into the Korean market. This annual event marks the third consecutive year it has been organized since 2024.

The B2B consultation event attracted numerous domestic buyers, allowing them to experience Italian beauty products firsthand and directly engage with brand representatives for detailed product information. Participants engaged in active consultations, discussing product characteristics and potential market entry strategies, thus exploring opportunities for distribution and collaboration within Korea.

Sixteen Italian companies across diverse sectors, including skincare, body care, sun care, professional and consumer hair care, colour products, perfumes, oils, and diffusers, visited Korea to conduct various business consultations, covering areas such as buying, OEM, ODM, exclusive distribution rights, and collaboration. Notably, the introduction of AI-based skin analysis solutions showcased the latest beauty technologies and trends, generating significant interest among Korean buyers.

An evening networking event co-hosted by the Italian Embassy and the Italian Trade Agency took place on April 20, featuring the attendance of Emilia Gatto, the Italian Ambassador to South Korea, who delivered a welcome address. This gathering underscores the commitment to fostering deeper ties between Italian brands and the Korean beauty sector.

Ferdinando Gueli, Director of the Italian Trade Agency's Seoul office, stated that the Italian Beauty Days event has facilitated direct communication between new Italian brands and Korean buyers and industry stakeholders over its three-year execution. Gueli noted that as successful cooperation cases in the Korean market continue to increase, there is a plan to expand the event into various sectors to continuously create substantial collaboration opportunities between companies in both countries.

Mariana Migues, a representative from the Italian Cosmetics Association, emphasized the robust growth of the Italian cosmetics market, which has established strong competitiveness in global trends and R&D sectors. She pointed out that the event showcased a variety of innovative products that complete the Italian beauty routine, particularly in haircare. Migues remarked that both Korea and Italy share commonalities in their dynamic and trendy nature, and she hopes for an expanded presence of Italian beauty in the Korean market, which seeks new experiences.
