LUNA Launches Pop-Up Store in Japan's Shin-Okubo to Boost Brand Presence

LUNA, a professional makeup brand, announced on the 10th that it will operate a pop-up store in Shin-Okubo, Tokyo, aimed at enhancing its presence in the local market. This initiative comes as part of LUNA's broader strategy to expand its brand recognition and product lineup in a region known for its strong interest in K-beauty.

The pop-up store will operate from April 22 to May 13 at A:PERS, a K-beauty experiential select shop located in Shin-Okubo. By leveraging this high-traffic area that attracts K-beauty enthusiasts, LUNA aims to actively communicate its brand strengths and product offerings to a consumer base with a high purchase intent.

This event will showcase various products, including the Long Lasting Tip Concealer, known as the 'national concealer,’ along with the Long Lasting Corrector, Conceal Blender Palette, Long Lasting Conceal Cushion, and Bubbling Gum Gloss. Such a diverse product range aims to not only highlight LUNA’s makeup expertise but also provide consumers with firsthand experience of the brand's offerings.

Aekyung Industry plans to strengthen its standing in the Japanese market by enhancing connections with local consumers through experiential brand engagement. The brand representative stated that Shin-Okubo serves as a pivotal area for K-beauty, and they hope this pop-up provides an opportunity for consumers to experience the brand directly. The intention is to enhance LUNA's competitiveness in the global market through tailored local marketing initiatives.

Furthermore, LUNA promotes the slogan 'Every day, New Me,' encouraging individuals to embrace their true selves and evolve confidently. The brand's flagship Long Lasting Tip Concealer has amassed over 11 million units in cumulative sales since January 2014, establishing its status as a best-seller. Following its entry into Japan in 2021 through online channels like Qoo10 and Amazon Japan, LUNA has expanded its offline distribution network since 2022, aiming to be in 10,316 stores by December 2025.

The pop-up initiative reflects a strategic business model shift towards experiential retail engagement, enhancing consumer lifetime value through direct interaction.
