Pharma Research MediCare, led by CEO Seo Young-jae, announced on the 27th that its pharmacy-based cosmeceutical ampoule, 'Rejuve-S,' has experienced significant sales growth, primarily driven by demand from foreign tourists visiting South Korea.

Since its launch in December last year, 'Rejuve-S' has shown a continuous growth trajectory, with sales volume increasing by approximately 120% as of March this year compared to its initial launch period. This impressive growth is attributed to the rising trend of 'pharmacy shopping,' where consumers focus on functional ingredients and efficacy when selecting products. Notably, foreign patients who have undergone dermatological procedures in Korea are increasingly purchasing home care products like 'Rejuve-S' as part of their skincare regimen, positioning pharmacies as a primary touchpoint for these consumers.

'Rejuve-S' stands out for its high concentration of c-PDRN, a specialized ingredient developed by Pharma Research, designed to soothe the skin and enhance turnover. Furthermore, the inclusion of niacinamide and adenosine offers whitening and wrinkle improvement features, strengthening its market positioning as a scientifically-backed skincare solution.

Pharma Research MediCare aims to bolster its pharmacy-based skincare lineup with 'Rejuve-S,' following the success of its pioneering PDRN topical formulation, 'Rejuve Neck Cream.' The company’s strategy focuses on developing a comprehensive portfolio that spans recovery care post-procedure to daily skincare, reinforcing its commitment to serving diverse consumer needs.

A representative from Pharma Research MediCare remarked that the consumption habits of foreign tourists have shifted towards an ingredient- and efficacy-driven approach, leading to rapid expansion in pharmacy skincare demand. The company plans to leverage the established pharmacy skincare trend initiated by 'Rejuve Neck Cream' and continue to evolve this trend through its Rejuve product lineup.

This evolving consumer behavior underscores a significant shift towards pharmacies as vital skincare retail channels, suggesting that brands must adapt their distribution strategies accordingly to capitalize on the increasing interest in effective home care solutions in the dermatological context.
