Seonjine Beauty Science Reports Q1 2026 Revenue Growth Amid Strategic Investments
Seonjine Beauty Science (086710), a leading global cosmetics raw material manufacturer, announced on the 10th that its consolidated revenue for Q1 2026 reached 22.7 billion KRW, alongside an operating profit of 1.5 billion KRW. This reflects a slight increase from the same period last year, where revenue was recorded at 22.5 billion KRW, indicating a stable growth pattern driven by strategic initiatives.
The company's operating profit marks a significant turnaround from Q4 2025, where it reported a loss of 400 million KRW. However, compared to the same quarter last year, profits were slightly hindered due to increased fixed costs associated with the expansion of its ODM business and investments in global marketing for its own brand, i-Recipe.
On a separate basis, performance remained robust, with standalone revenue hitting 20.2 billion KRW and operating profit improving to 900 million KRW, a 1.7 billion KRW enhancement from the previous quarter's loss of 800 million KRW. This trend is indicative of streamlined operations and targeted marketing efforts to bolster brand recognition.
In line with its strategic branding efforts, Seonjine Beauty Science has appointed Jiwoo from the K-pop group Nmixx as the brand ambassador for i-Recipe in the first half of 2026. This move aims to strengthen brand recognition as part of a broader marketing campaign. The company also anticipates that investments in brand and business expansion will yield significant results beginning in the latter half of 2026, driven by these strategic actions.
The launch of the new OTC (over-the-counter) OEM/ODM project faced adjustments, as the initial supply timeline originally set for Q1 was realigned with client launch strategies and market response schedules, now pushed to the latter half of 2026.
In a bid to accelerate its global presence, Seonjine Beauty Science is currently in the process of establishing a subsidiary in Indonesia, following its operations in Italy and the United States. This strategic move aims to enhance responsiveness to local clients in Southeast Asia, while also scaling the supply of high-performance raw materials, such as UV-blocking agents and microbeads, to stimulate global raw material sales growth.
A spokesperson for Seonjine Beauty Science remarked, “The first half of the year focused on establishing the ODM business and significant brand marketing investments. From the latter half onward, we expect a stabilization in cost structure, incorporation of OTC initial volumes, and increased material sales growth in Southeast Asia centered around our Indonesian subsidiary, which will further accelerate annual performance improvement.”
