MISSHA Expands Influence in CIS Region Following Belarus Beauty Award Wins
On the 7th, the global beauty company Able C&C announced that its cosmetic brand MISSHA secured two awards at the Belarus Beauty Award, underscoring its competitive edge in the local market. Winning in the 'Base Makeup' and 'Anti-Aging Facial Care' categories reaffirms the brand's appeal to Belarusian consumers and showcases its effective product offerings.
The Belarus Beauty Award, based on consumer voting, marks its 9th year and is recognized for its credibility and visibility within the local beauty industry. Able C&C has now won five consecutive years at this awards ceremony since 2021, reflecting its ongoing strengthening of market position in Belarus.
MISSHA continues to expand its influence in the CIS market through tailored distribution strategies and product competitiveness. The brand is actively operating in Russia, Belarus, and Azerbaijan, with standalone stores in key areas including the capital, Minsk. This localized approach to retail aligns well with consumer expectations and preferences in each market.
Significantly, MISSHA has reported a remarkable 143% growth in revenue in Russia for the first quarter compared to the previous year. Notably, sales through the leading Russian e-commerce platform, Ozon, soared by 159%. Belarus holds a vital role in the CIS, contributing approximately 10% of the overall revenue, establishing itself as a key market alongside Russia, while Azerbaijan emerges as a new growth opportunity.
The expansion of offline distribution channels remains a priority. Currently, MISSHA products are featured in the prominent Russian retail chain Magnit, with plans to enter Pyaterochka, one of the largest distribution networks in the country.
Particularly popular are the brand's base makeup and mask pack products. The 'M Perfect Cover BB Cream' has solidified its status as a crucial revenue driver in the CIS, while the 'Airy Fit Mask Pack' continues to achieve consistent sales. Able C&C notes a strong preference among CIS consumers for base makeup products that deliver excellent skin expression, which, combined with years of accumulated brand recognition and product trust, has driven sales growth.
An Able C&C spokesperson stated, "As interest in K-beauty continues to grow in the CIS, local demand for MISSHA’s base makeup and skincare products is also on the rise. We plan to further strengthen our brand competitiveness in the CIS market by adopting product and distribution strategies tailored to local consumer characteristics."
