Cosmecare Korea, a global expert in Original Brand Manufacturing (OBM) within the cosmetics sector, announced on the 5th that it will acquire land and buildings in the Heungdeok District of Cheongju, North Chungcheong Province for 640 billion won. This investment represents 10.13% of the company’s total assets, which amounted to approximately 6.318 trillion won at the end of the previous year.

This acquisition is not merely aimed at expanding production capacity but is also a calculated strategy to respond to the burgeoning global demand for K-beauty manufacturing. As the popularity of K-beauty continues to grow internationally, the demand for reliable OBM partners capable of managing the entire process from product development to production, quality control, and timely delivery becomes critical.

Notably, indie brands are showing significant growth in the global market, with rapid product launches and stable supply chain management becoming key competitive advantages. Accordingly, the manufacturing capabilities of partners like Cosmecare Korea have become essential to the success of these brands, further highlighting the need for robust production infrastructure.

The acquisition will allow Cosmecare Korea to build a more agile and stable system to respond to increasing order demands from both domestic and international clients. This is expected not only to enhance the volumes from existing clients but also to attract new brands, thus expanding its market footprint.

Furthermore, the company’s impressive growth trajectory substantiates the need for expanded production capabilities. Cosmecare Korea anticipates revenue of 640.9 billion won and an operating profit of 83.4 billion won in 2025, marking a record-high performance. In Q1 of this year, the company reported revenues of 142.2 billion won and operating profits of 17.8 billion won, which reflect increases of 91.3% and 120.8%, respectively, year-on-year, achieving the highest quarterly results to date.

Currently, Cosmecare Korea’s annual production capacity stands at approximately 1.3 billion units. With this factory acquisition, the company is positioned to enhance its production capabilities and proactively prepare for anticipated global demand surges. To further drive category expansion, Cosmecare Korea plans to augment its manufacturing capabilities primarily focused on skincare with hydrogel masks, sun care, and premium hair and body care products.
