On the 8th, Polyphenol Factory, led by CEO Lee Hae-shin and backed by KAIST, officially introduced the Grabity PDRN Hair Recovery Shampoo. This product leverages advanced technology showcased earlier this year at CES 2026, underscoring its potential market impact. Combining marine microalgae-derived PDRN with polyphenol coacervate delivery technology distinguishes it as a pioneering formulation in hair care.

Targeting consumers aged 40 and above, the shampoo addresses common issues of hair thinning and lack of shine due to hormonal changes and lifestyle factors, which can undermine customer satisfaction with conventional hair care solutions. By proposing a technology-driven alternative, Grabity aims to overcome challenges associated with traditional functional hair loss products that often lack consistent user experience.

The integration of a PDRN complex at a concentration of 100,000 ppm enhances the product's efficacy while ensuring retention on the scalp and hair surface during cleansing. This unique formulation positions Grabity favorably in a market currently characterized by a lack of transparency regarding PDRN sources and concentrations. In this context, Grabity stands out by explicitly labeling its high PDRN content, addressing consumer demand for clear ingredient disclosure.

Moreover, proprietary KAIST components LiftMax308™ and LiftMax615™ are designed to provide immediate volumizing effects and soften hair damaged by aging. Clinical trials, conducted by The K Dermatological Research Institute and Advanced Clinical Research Center, confirmed outcomes such as a 73.66% reduction in hair loss after two weeks, alongside improvements in volumizing and scalp calming metrics. The product's hypoallergenic properties have been validated with Dermatest's Excellent certification, reinforcing its credibility in relevant markets.

According to CFO Choi Sung-sik, there is a rising demand within global clean beauty channels for products that do not utilize animal-derived ingredients. To tap into this trend, Grabity plans to expand its distribution focus on premium clean beauty channels, projecting sales of approximately 40 billion KRW this fiscal year.

The Grabity PDRN Hair Recovery Shampoo is scheduled to become available on platforms such as Naver Smart Store and Coupang starting June 8. This rollout marks a significant step in the brand's strategy to solidify its position as a global K-beauty player in the hair care segment.

In conclusion, Grabity’s innovative formulation and strategic market positioning signal a transformative shift within the beauty industry, moving toward a more ingredient-transparency-driven approach that may redefine consumer expectations and competitive dynamics.
