Amazon Accelerator 2026 Enhances K-Beauty Brands' US Market Access Through Expanded Benefits
Amazon Global Selling Korea announced on the 10th that it will launch an enhanced growth program, 'Amazon Accelerator 2026,' designed to facilitate K-Beauty brands' entry into the US market. This initiative is characterized by a new collaboration with the Seoul Business Agency (SBA), which has broadened the scope of support available to participating brands.
Selected brands will benefit from five key offerings: advertising worth 5 million KRW, influencer seeding to 300 individuals, dedicated training for success on Amazon, opportunities for content exposure through Amazon Originals, and pitching opportunities to major venture capitalists. This multifaceted approach positions Amazon Accelerator 2026 as a comprehensive support system for K-Beauty brands preparing for global sales.
Shin Hwa-sook, the representative of Amazon Global Selling Korea, emphasized the ongoing global growth of K-Beauty, stating that many Korean brands possess substantial potential for growth on Amazon. She noted that the accelerator program serves as a stepping stone supporting brands throughout the product readiness phase to full-scale global sales, indicating a shift from traditional business practices to more integrated support models.
K-Beauty has emerged as one of the fastest-growing categories on Amazon's US store, particularly notable during the Big Spring Sale held in March 2026, where K-Beauty product sales from Korean sellers doubled compared to the previous year. Brands such as Mediheal, Anua, Bioderm, and Equal Berry ranked among bestsellers, showcasing the competitive landscape these brands must navigate while maximizing revenue opportunities.
The Amazon Accelerator 2026 program will select 20 brands through a rigorous review process. These brands will participate in Amazon's comprehensive training and offline meetup programs, enhancing their global sales capabilities. Ultimately, seven brands will advance to the final round, where leading venture capitalists, including Signite, IMM Investment, and Ian & Partners, will judge a pitching session aimed at identifying three winning brands.
Participants will receive staged benefits from Amazon and the Seoul Business Agency, including eight training sessions covering listing optimization, advertising, and account management, two offline meetups with top sellers and venture capitalists, advertising vouchers worth 5 million KRW, and networking opportunities at major startup events such as 'Try Everything.' Additionally, the final seven brands will gain exclusive access to live pitching sessions and appearances on Amazon’s 'Next Seller' series, linking brand exposure directly to potential scalability and growth.
Kim Hyun-woo, representative of the Seoul Business Agency, highlighted the existence of thousands of innovative beauty brands in Seoul, many of which lack infrastructure to reach global consumers independently. He stated that collaboration with Amazon allows these emerging brands a structured pathway to the global marketplace, combining public resources with Amazon’s expansive global network to drive innovation and export success for domestic companies.
Launched in 2025 to nurture promising domestic brands aspiring for US market entry, the Amazon Accelerator program saw over 200 brands participating in its inaugural year, with Binubo taking the top prize. Lee Bae-seok, CEO of Binubo, discussed the immediate trust his three-member team gained from investors and partners after winning, and how the training they received on the US market directly informed their operations. He attributed their impressive revenue growth of 300% per month within seven months of entering the US market to Amazon's continued support and the virtuous cycle of opportunities generated by the program.
Applications for the Accelerator program are open until June 28. For more details, visit the official Accelerator website.
