PharmaResearch, led by CEO Ji-Hoon Son, announced on the 10th that its premium derma cosmetic brand, RejuveCosmetic, is solidifying its presence in Southeast Asia by achieving remarkable results on key e-commerce platforms.

Based on Shopee sales data from June 1 to 4, RejuveCosmetic ranked first in sales among K-beauty brands within the skincare category in Malaysia. Particularly noteworthy, its flagship product, the Rejuve Dual Effect Ampoule, attained the top spot in the ampoule and serum categories in Malaysia and secured second place in Singapore, underscoring its competitive strength in these markets.

The growth trajectory has been steep. Since its official entry into Shopee Malaysia earlier this year, RejuveCosmetic has witnessed approximately sixfold revenue growth within just five months. In April, the brand became the first K-beauty company to enter TikTok Korea's 'Southeast Asia Cross-Border Solution,' achieving double-digit growth in both the Malaysian and Philippine markets merely a month after launch. This solution enables Korean businesses to directly enter the Southeast Asian TikTok Shop, showcasing a strategic approach to digital commerce.

A driving force behind this exponential growth is the Rejuve Dual Effect Ampoule, which incorporates PharmaResearch’s proprietary technology DOT® and its core ingredient, c-PDRN®. This product is positioned as a solution for both surface and structural skin elasticity, capitalizing on the brand’s medical aesthetic heritage, which has resonated well with Southeast Asian consumers.

A representative from PharmaResearch highlighted the region's high demand and growth potential for K-beauty, stating that they aim to expand consumer touchpoints based on their performance in online channels. They plan to continuously communicate the unique value of RejuveCosmetic's skincare to the global market.

This strategic expansion not only indicates the rising influence of K-beauty in Southeast Asia but also hints at the shift toward a more integrated online retail environment where brands leverage multiple platforms for market entry and growth. As e-commerce continues to gain traction, the ability to penetrate diverse markets through established channels like Shopee and TikTok will be essential for sustained success in the beauty industry.
