LS Cosmetics Secures Patent for Transparent Cleansing Formulation with High Oil Content

LS Cosmetics announced on the 10th that it has recently obtained a patent for a manufacturing technology that enables the stable inclusion of high oil content in a transparent cleansing formulation. This move marks a significant advancement in the company’s capabilities within the cleansing category, aiming to bolster its competitive positioning in the market.

The patented technology focuses on maintaining both transparency and stability in gel formulations, which is increasingly crucial in a market where consumer preferences lean towards both efficacy and aesthetics. By using a saponified oils base mixed with oils and emulsifiers, the process ensures effective blending of oil and aqueous components, mitigating phase separation while promoting a stable texture and clarity.

The formulation is designed to contain oil compositions within a weight range of 5% to 25%, allowing for a transparent gel structure while ensuring the necessary viscosity and clarity metrics—measured for turbidity levels below 20 NTU. This stability is vital for maintaining consumer trust, as visual appeal can significantly impact purchasing decisions.

In addition to transparency, the formulation also emphasizes dual benefits: cleansing efficacy and moisture retention.
