LG Household & Health Care Unveils High-Concentration Vitamin C Melting Cream
LG Household & Health Care announced on the 9th that it will launch the high-concentration Vitamin C melting cream, 'IZENOX Vitamin C 42% Melting Cream' (hereafter referred to as Vitamin Cream), designed to effectively address skin hyperpigmentation at a dermal care level.
This new product represents the culmination of 30 years of Vitamin efficacy research, establishing itself as the first functional cosmetic in Korea aimed at wrinkle improvement. The product was co-developed with beauty influencer 'HoHoBeauty,' who boasts over 300,000 followers on Instagram, thus underscoring the brand's strategic move towards influencer collaborations to enhance market penetration.
With a remarkable 42% pure Vitamin C concentration— the highest among LG Household & Health Care’s cosmetic offerings—this product employs specialized technologies for micro-coating and oil dispersion. This innovation minimizes browning, odor, and stickiness, ensuring that the antioxidant efficacy is maintained at 100% even after 800 hours of exposure to 50 degrees Celsius, thus signaling a strong commitment to product stability in extreme conditions.
Moreover, 99.7% of the active ingredients in the Vitamin Cream focus on efficacy, targeting not only hyperpigmentation but also overall skin tone, texture, and radiance. Clinical data indicates that four weeks of use resulted in statistically significant improvements: 29.7% reduction in hyperpigmentation area, 24.5% reduction in the number of spots, and 23% reduction in pigmentation density, which establishes its effectiveness comparable to clinical dermatological treatments.
Following its launch event, the Vitamin Cream sold out entirely within five minutes during a live streaming session, demonstrating robust consumer demand and setting a precedent for future product launches. This immediate sell-out highlights the potential of real-time customer engagement strategies as a revenue driver for LG.
A representative from LG Household & Health Care stated, 'We have carefully reviewed consumer feedback to mitigate concerns regarding possible irritation and stability issues associated with high-concentration Vitamin C. Our aim was to create a realistic high-concentration solution that fits comfortably into daily routines.' This approach indicates a pivot towards developing solutions that align closely with consumer lifestyles while enhancing product trust and long-term usage.
In the broader context of the beauty industry, this move signifies a growing trend towards scientifically-backed, high-efficacy products that cater to informed consumers. As brands increasingly invest in R&D to offer validated skincare solutions, LG's strategy positions it as a formidable player not only in Korea but also in the international beauty landscape.
