LG Health & Beauty Launches Precision Whitening Device with Advanced LED Technology
LG Health & Beauty announced on the 10th that it is launching a new product, 'Melabim Toning,' under its beauty device brand Pra.L, which utilizes powerful high-output LED technology to precisely target melanin and provide effective whitening care.
Melanin, a primary cause of darker skin tones, is produced in melanocytes and distributed across various layers of the skin. As such, effective treatment requires a nuanced approach that considers the differing origins and patterns of melanin distribution. The Melabim Toning device targets these melanin deposits using three unique LED wavelengths, each designed to penetrate varying skin depths, facilitating a more effective treatment strategy that can enhance brand retention in a competitive market.
This device also addresses rough skin texture, another factor contributing to dim skin appearance. Users suffering from pigmentation tend to have enlarged pores and rough textures that scatter light, creating shadowy effects. With its microcurrent (MC) mechanism, Melabim Toning effectively tightens pores and smooths out the skin’s surface, optimizing light reflection for a more uniform complexion, crucial for fostering repeat purchases and customer loyalty.
A standout feature of Melabim Toning is its advanced LED technology and optical design, which reportedly provides 1.86 times higher efficacy compared to specialized treatments performed in clinics. With an output of 17J/cm2 and three distinct LED wavelengths (Red, Yellow, IR), the device effectively strikes melanin throughout different skin layers. Enhancing this mechanism is a convex-shaped ‘10-degree condensing lens,’ which concentrates the emitted light for deeper skin penetration, aligning with current trends in skin health technology.
Notably, the device's end features a linear design allowing for vertical alignment during home care, ensuring light energy effectively reaches deeper pigmentation issues. Users can select from three distinct modes tailored to their skin concerns, with up to five levels of intensity adjustment available, positioning the product well for varied consumer preferences.
The 'Toning Mode' employs the three LED wavelengths alongside electroporation (EP) technology to aid the penetration of effective ingredients into the skin. This synergistic approach not only provides physical care for pigmentation but also integrates chemical treatment methodologies, addressing melanin management from a holistic standpoint. Clinical trials have demonstrated up to 216% improvement in melanin, 198% in spots, and 218% in skin pigmentation, supporting the device’s efficacy as a worthy investment for distributors.
The 'Glow Mode,' utilizing red LED combined with microcurrent technology, has been shown to enhance skin texture by 195% and improve roughness by 222%. Meanwhile, the 'Relief Mode' is designed for post-treatment soothing, utilizing red and near-infrared (IR) LEDs to enhance the skin barrier by 116%, ensuring consumers can safely incorporate daily use into their routines. This positions LG Health & Beauty’s offering to align with consumer demand for multi-functional and scientifically-backed beauty treatments.
The new Melabim Toning and the accompanying 'Glasslike' skincare line, which includes the newly developed 'Triple Toning Shot Ampoule,' promise excellent synergistic effects. Featuring LG Health & Beauty’s specialized formulation technology, this ampoule maintains moisture on the skin surface for the recommended usage time of five minutes, enhancing the penetrative efficacy of the device and signaling a shift towards integrated product offerings in the K-beauty market.
In developing this product, LG Health & Beauty undertook thorough pre-launch reviews, including five rounds of in-depth interviews, ensuring the whitening effects were significant and the soothing properties suitable for daily use. This strategic focus on user experience enhances customer lifetime value and positions the brand for sustainable growth.
The brand representative stated, “Melabim Toning effectively targets melanin based on the depth of the skin with high-output LED energy at 17J/cm2, enabling three-level care for dull skin tones and disrupted skin barriers.” The development of products like the Glasslike Ampoule is expected to allow users to experience significant skin transformations resembling specialized treatment, reinforcing the appeal of their brand portfolio in a competitive marketplace.
Melabim Toning and Glasslike skincare products are available for purchase through the dedicated LG Pra.L Naver store, positioning the brand for enhanced direct-to-consumer engagement.
