Kerasys Accelerates Push into CIS Haircare Market
Kerasys, the premium haircare brand under global total beauty firm Amorepacific, announced on the 25th that it organized K-POP events in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan to enhance its brand positioning within the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) market. This strategic move capitalizes on a growing interest in K-culture, aiming to create meaningful consumer connections while driving brand awareness.
In a region marked by robust growth, Kerasys has emerged as a competitive player, reporting an impressive average annual revenue growth rate of 18.4% from 2020 to 2025. By May 2026, the brand continued this upward trajectory, achieving a year-on-year revenue increase of 37%. This expansion indicates not only effective brand engagement strategies but also consumer affinity towards K-beauty offerings.
To solidify its market presence, Kerasys hosted the 'Kerasys K-POP Random Play Dance Challenge' on June 13 in Tashkent at Magic City. The event allowed local K-culture enthusiasts to participate in a vibrant dance competition, drawing approximately 1,000 attendees who experienced the brand firsthand through samples and gift sets. This experiential marketing approach reflects a long-term commitment to increasing brand visibility and fostering loyalty among target customers.
Earlier, on June 6-7, Kerasys participated as a main sponsor in the 'K-POP STAR Kazakhstan' event held at Mega Alma-Ata in Almaty. The presence of the South Korean Embassy and the Korean Cultural Center underscored the event's importance, attracting around 7,000 visitors and generating significant social media engagement with approximately 1.1 million views. Such metrics highlight the growing traction and interest in K-culture, offering valuable insights into shifting consumer preferences.
As part of their promotional strategy, Kerasys distributed various samples, including the 'Kerasys Proactive Man 2-in-1 Shampoo,' designed for men seeking convenient haircare solutions, and the 'Kerasys Classic Perfume Line,' known for its long-lasting fragrance through proprietary technology. This product architecture not only aligns with market demand but also diversifies the brand’s portfolio to appeal to a wider audience.
Seong-tae Ahn, General Manager of Amorepacific’s Daily Care Division, emphasized that these events represent a significant opportunity to engage directly with CIS consumers who appreciate K-culture. He stated the company's commitment to expanding consumer touchpoints globally through diverse cultural marketing initiatives designed to continuously enhance Kerasys's competitive edge in international markets.
The strategic investment in K-culture marketing signals a pivotal moment for Kerasys, as it not only reinforces its commitment to the CIS market but also positions the brand within a competitive landscape focused on experiential and community-driven engagement, crucial for sustained growth in the beauty industry.
