Lush Korea Introduces Exclusive Store Experience with Second Jeju Location
Lush Korea announced on June 5 that it has opened Lush Jeju Songdang, its second store in the Jeju region, following the launch of Lush Jeju Sanbangsan in September 2024. Located at 2656-7 Songdang-ri in Gujwa-eup, the new two-story location spans approximately 86㎡ (26 pyeong) on the first floor and 175㎡ (53 pyeong) on the second, designed to harmonize with its serene natural surroundings while showcasing the brand’s ethos.
Central to Lush Jeju Songdang is the introduction of Lush HairLab, a unique experiential hair service space launched in Korea for the first time. This includes the Botanical Washroom, where customers can receive hair care and massage services, as well as the Infusion Bar, a personalized formula creation area using natural ingredients, which aligns with evolving consumer preferences for bespoke beauty experiences.
The HairLab offers three exclusive hair services that can only be experienced at this location: the Botanical Wash Taster, a teaser service using Lush shampoos and conditioners; the Signature Botanical Wash, which provides deep treatment and scalp care; and the Botanical Wash Premium, which adds immersive experiences with hand and arm massages. Each service culminates in a DIY drying and styling process by the customer, thereby enhancing engagement and satisfaction.
Moreover, the Infusion Bar enables customers to customize their final touch using tailored infusions based on their hair and scalp concerns, showcasing a notable shift toward personalization that is anticipated to boost customer retention and loyalty in a competitive market.
The first floor of Lush Jeju Songdang features various customer experience areas, including a Fragrance Bar crafted from Jeju granite, allowing customers to explore aromas while learning about Lush's ethical sourcing philosophy. Special family-oriented experiences, such as a drawing program named “Drawing with Lush Green,” will take place outdoors, bolstering community engagement and encouraging repeat visits.
Additionally, exclusive Jeju products will be available, including the Hallasan bath bomb and Charcoal - Dol Hareubang facial soap, both inspired by local landscapes. These items are exclusively sold at Lush Jeju Sanbangsan and Lush Jeju Songdang, reinforcing a brand strategy that focuses on locality and cultural relevance.
Operating daily from 10 AM to 7 PM, Lush Jeju Songdang is positioned to attract both locals and tourists, leveraging unique experiences and localized offerings to drive traffic and enhance brand loyalty. This strategic move signals a potential shift towards more immersive customer-focused retail spaces within the beauty industry.
