Cosmecca Korea, under the leadership of CEOs Im-rae Cho and Eun-hee Park, announced on the 25th that it has been selected for the 'AI Application Product Rapid Commercialization Support Project' administered by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups. This marks a significant step in advancing the company's artificial intelligence transformation in the cosmetics manufacturing sector.

The project entails an investment of approximately 3.5 billion KRW over the next two years to drive manufacturing innovation, aiming to establish an AI-based autonomous manufacturing platform specialized for the cosmetics industry. This strategic investment underscores the growing importance of AI in enhancing operational efficiencies and product quality within K-beauty.

To realize this initiative, Cosmecca Korea has formed an industry-academia-research consortium, collaborating with institutions such as the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI), the Cosmetics Microbial Center, and Sungkyunkwan University, with MIQube Solutions as the primary supplier. This alignment leverages AI technology development, practical validation, manufacturing data analysis, and specialized consulting, projecting a robust framework for successful execution.

The core of this initiative is to integrate the entire cosmetics manufacturing process into a single 'intelligent autonomous manufacturing platform.' Traditionally, this sector has relied heavily on manual processes and subjective assessments, creating a critical need for data-centric objectivity and automation. Addressing this challenge positions Cosmecca Korea as a leader in manufacturing efficiency and product consistency, appealing to buyers seeking reliable suppliers.

Key AI tasks outlined in the project include predicting the preservative effectiveness of cosmetics, standardizing sensory evaluations based on sensor and material data, automatically designing optimized recipes considering usability and stability, establishing a fool-proof inspection system based on multi-vision AI, and integrating data for proactive alerts. These initiatives not only enhance product quality but also promise to improve customer retention through increased reliability.

Im-rae Cho emphasized the goal of solidifying a 'K-Beauty AX Standard Model' through the successful completion of this project, aiming to lead the digital transition across the industry and expedite the delivery of innovative products to global clients. By prioritizing operational excellence, Cosmecca Korea is strategically positioning itself to enhance its competitive edge in the K-beauty market.

Looking ahead, Cosmecca Korea plans to gradually introduce AI agents specialized in research and development, production, quality management, and business operations, expanding its enterprise-wide AI infrastructure. This approach seeks to create a future-oriented ecosystem for cosmetics manufacturing, with the ultimate goal of being recognized as a 'Lighthouse Factory' by the World Economic Forum (WEF) by 2028, signaling a transformative direction for industry standards.
