Aestura, a dermocosmetic brand under Amorepacific, announced on the 27th that it participated in the Asian Clinical Aesthetic Innovations Conference (ACAIC 2026) held at the Harvard Club of New York City. The event attracted over 200 dermatology professionals and industry experts from around the globe, providing Aestura an opportunity to showcase its research on skin barriers and sensitive skin while engaging in scholarly exchanges with an international research community.

Dr. Richard D. Granstein, Chair of Aestura's U.S. Dermatology Advisory Board and Professor of Dermatology at Weill Cornell Medical College, presented on the topic of 'Stress Effects on the Skin and Inflammatory Skin Disorders: Does Stress Really Make My Rash Worse?'. In his presentation, Dr. Granstein comprehensively reviewed various research findings, elaborating on the mechanisms behind skin-neuro-immune interactions. His insights highlighted how stress can exacerbate skin inflammation via peripheral nervous system pathways, suggesting that cosmetic interventions may assist in alleviating specific inflammatory skin conditions.

Meanwhile, Park Won-seok, Director of the R&I Center's Advanced Beauty Research Lab at Amorepacific, delivered a presentation titled 'Exposome Effects on the Skin Barrier: Is Your Daily Life Quietly Weakening Your Skin?'. He revealed that damage to the skin barrier from harmful environmental exposure—termed the exposome—serves as a significant factor accelerating aging. He also showcased efficacy data for Hydroxydaidzein, a compound aimed at mitigating stress-induced skin barrier damage, alongside Epicatechin derived from green tea that offers protection against combined irritants. This emphasizes Aestura's dedication to innovative strategies for restoring skin barrier functionality.

Aestura's participation as an official sponsor of ACAIC 2026 included hosting an exhibition space aimed at global dermatology professionals and industry experts, alongside various presentation and online-offline communication programs. Furthermore, Aestura reinforced its technology vision, termed ‘Holistic Longevity Solution’, which aims to integrate skin defense and recovery strategies against external stimuli, thereby solidifying its position as a premium dermatological brand in the U.S. market.

A spokesperson for Aestura highlighted the importance of showcasing their skin barrier research capabilities within this academic platform, stating, 'We are deeply honored to introduce our research strengths on skin barrier protection in front of global dermatology professionals. Moving forward, we aim to continuously communicate our technological prowess within international scholarly circles, deepening our understanding of skin barrier damage causes to enhance healthy functionality recovery as a science-based dermocosmetic brand.'
