Olive Young Launches ‘Olive Young Festa’ in LA to Deepen K-Beauty Experience
CJ Olive Young announced on the 2nd that it will hold the ‘Olive Young Festa’ for the first time in the United States from August 14-16. This event follows the launch of its first offline store in the U.S. in May, aimed at intensifying local customer experiences of K-Beauty.
Taking place at the LA Convention Center in California, the ‘Olive Young Festa LA 2026’ is strategically integrated with the ‘KCON LA 2026’ event. The festival will create a substantial K-Beauty playground, where approximately 4,700 square meters of space will allow global customers to discover new K-Beauty brands and enjoy the latest beauty trends.
Since its inception in 2019, the Olive Young Festa has evolved into South Korea’s first beauty festival, allowing participating brands to connect directly with consumers through experiential content. The expansion of this concept, with the second festival now being introduced in the U.S. following Japan, underscores the increasing global interest in K-Beauty.
The event will be themed as ‘The K-Beauty Playground Festival,’ designed to replicate key shopping districts in Seoul. Visitors will experience immersive representations of these areas, allowing them to engage with K-Beauty brands as if traveling through the vibrant streets of Seoul.
A total of 55 K-Beauty and lifestyle brands will participate, showcasing flagship products alongside various interactive content. A central ‘Store Zone’ will mirror an Olive Young retail outlet, broadly showcasing representative K-Beauty products.
Surrounding the Store Zone, themed areas based on popular districts such as Hongdae and Myeongdong will further enhance the experience. Classic Seoul street elements, such as Korean signage and bus stop displays, aim to vividly recreate the essence of these locales. Olive Young will also offer its signature experiential services like skin scans in these themed zones.
To elevate attendee engagement, a stamp rally will reward customers who collect stamps from various booths with a limited-edition ‘Festa Goodie Bag’ featuring K-Skincare routines. This strategy not only enhances overall visitor experience but also encourages deeper interaction with the brand's offerings.
In addition, Olive Young is introducing support programs specifically for small and indie brands entering the U.S. market. These include experiential teaching sessions titled ‘Beauty & Health Deep Dive,’ where brands showcase their stories and flagship products directly to attendees. This interaction facilitates trust-building through direct communication between brands and local customers.
A networking space titled ‘Future Connect Lounge’ will enable participating brands to share their experiences and insights about entering the U.S. market, providing valuable networking opportunities which can foster collaborative growth within the K-Beauty ecosystem.
This event aims to leverage the synergy between K-Beauty and broader K-Culture by connecting with attendees of the globally recognized KCON festival. By naturally introducing K-Beauty to international consumers attending for K-Pop and K-Food, the goal is to expand awareness of K-Lifestyle as a whole.
According to Olive Young representatives, this festival is a pivotal opportunity for the brand to extend its K-Beauty experience in the U.S. The ongoing strategy intertwines Olive Young’s physical locations, online platforms, and festivals to propel the global recognition of K-Lifestyle while forming a robust foundation for South Korean brands to flourish in international markets.
