On the 3rd, global beauty company Able C&C announced that Missha has entered the British beauty market through a partnership with Superdrug, a prominent health and beauty retail chain in the UK. This move accelerates Missha's strategy to penetrate the UK beauty sector more aggressively.

Superdrug, known for its extensive range of skincare, makeup, and health products, is strategically positioned across the UK with a reputation for accessibility and competitive pricing. Particularly popular with younger consumers, this channel is expected to significantly expand Missha's touchpoints with local shoppers, enhancing brand visibility and engagement.

The entry into Superdrug is pivotal for Missha as it broadens the brand's retail base in the UK. This follows Missha's launch in March via TikTok Shop, establishing a foothold in digital commerce, and its recent expansion in mid-month into Boots, the UK's largest drugstore chain, demonstrating a clear commitment to offline presence. By securing additional channels like Superdrug, Missha is reinforcing its omnichannel approach to capturing UK consumer interest.

Through Superdrug, Missha will showcase approximately 20 of its top-performing products that have already gained recognition in global markets. Notably included are the North American best-seller 'M Perfect Cover BB Cream PRO' and the 'Vita C Plus Spot Care Ampoule,' alongside a high-performance anti-aging skincare line utilizing traditional Korean fermentation techniques from Boseong, Jeonnam.

The European market has recently emerged as a critical strategic focus for K-beauty, with Able C&C reporting a 43% increase in European sales in the first quarter compared to the previous year, contributing to overall global growth alongside the U.S. This proactive shift in business models—including changes in channels, marketing, and R&D—illustrates the brand's commitment to leverage diverse strategies for sustainable growth.

Able C&C representatives stated that securing shelf space in Superdrug is significant for amplifying their engagement with local consumers through some of the most influential retail channels in the UK. They emphasized that this marks the beginning of the next chapter in Able C&C's global journey, aiming to solidify sustainable growth based on unique brand heritage and proven execution capabilities.

Able C&C operates worldwide with its brands Missha and A'pieu across 56 countries in over 42,000 stores. Leveraging its status as a pioneer in K-beauty, the company has successfully transitioned its brand while continuously enhancing competitive advantages through innovations in marketing, distribution, R&D, and brand portfolio.
