P&K Skin Clinical Research Center Offers Customized Solutions for K-Beauty's Global Efficacy Validation
P&K Skin Clinical Research Center Co., Ltd. (347740), led by co-CEOs Jin-Oh Park and Hae-Kwang Lee, announced on the 1st that it showcased its customized human application testing solutions at 'in-cosmetics Korea 2026', held from the 1st to the 3rd at COEX in Seoul. This initiative focuses on optimizing testing items and evaluation methods based on the target market objectives and desired efficacy expressions of its clients.
As the global expansion of K-Beauty takes center stage, the importance of objective data proving product efficacy and safety has significantly increased. Particularly in major markets such as the U.S. and Europe, securing efficacy data based on scientific evidence alongside compliance with respective regulatory requirements has become essential. Therefore, the ability to design tests with market considerations from the product development stage has emerged as a key element of global competitiveness.
During the exhibition, P&K introduced customized human application testing solutions across various domains, including moisturization, whitening, wrinkle reduction, lifting, pore refinement, skin barrier enhancement, scalp and hair care, and color cosmetics. For brands preparing to enter overseas markets, the company proposed efficacy validation strategies that consider country-specific cosmetic regulatory trends, efficacy expression standards, and data utilization objectives.
Particularly, P&K emphasized the necessity for compliance with the Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act (MoCRA) in the U.S., and the preparation required for the Cosmetic Product Safety Report (CPSR) necessary for entry into European markets. P&K is enhancing services that link test design with global regulatory compliance to ensure that clients can systematically prepare the required safety and efficacy validation data from the product development phase.
P&K currently supports test design based on over 400 established testing protocols and accumulated skin clinical data, taking into account product characteristics, target efficacies, desired presentations, and target markets. Rather than merely conducting fixed tests, the company offers suggestions for evaluation items and methods that align with clients' intended use of efficacy data.
Moreover, P&K is integrating AI technology with their accumulated skincare clinical big data to elevate testing design and efficacy analysis systems. This strategic move aims to enable clients to acquire efficacy data suitable for their product characteristics and target markets, allowing for a more strategic use of validation data from research and development through to global market entry.
A spokesperson from P&K stated, “As K-Beauty grows in the global market, it is increasingly important to substantiate product efficacy with objective data and adapt accordingly to regulatory environments. We aim to continuously enhance our capabilities as a specialized institution that links efficacy validation with global regulatory compliance, thereby strengthening the competitiveness of K-Beauty enterprises in the world market.”
Additionally, P&K has set medium to long-term goals to achieve an average annual sales growth rate of over 20% from 2026 to 2028, along with maintaining an operating profit margin of over 20% each year, as part of its corporate value enhancement strategy. In response to the global expansion of K-Beauty and the increasing demand for efficacy validation, P&K plans to expand its human application testing business and continuously enhance its capabilities in skincare clinical data analysis and global regulatory compliance services.
