Korean Makeup Experts Association Chair Elevated as Honorary Member by Chungang University Alumni Association

An Mi-ryeo, the chair of the Korean Makeup Experts Association, was appointed as the first-ever 'Honorary Member' of the Chungang University Alumni Association in a ceremony held on July 15, 2023, at the alumni lounge CAU1916.

Since 2018, An has been deeply involved in teaching at the Graduate School of Art at Chungang University, offering core courses such as 'Beauty Marketing,' 'Beauty Color Theory,' and 'History of Beauty Culture.' Through her efforts, she has made significant academic contributions and played a pivotal role in nurturing future beauty professionals.

As the chair of the Korean Makeup Experts Association, she prides herself on bridging educational values with the beauty industry. Her commitment to both academia and industry has been a driving force throughout her tenure.

An will conclude her position as the head professor of the Beauty Art Design Major at the Graduate School of Art at Chungang University at the end of the first semester of 2026. In recognition of her dedicated service and major contributions to the department and alumni community, the Chungang University Alumni Association, chaired by Dr. Kim Boo-seok, a notable medical practitioner known for his commitment to the concept of 'Noblesse Oblige,' honored An with the honorary membership and presented her with a certificate.

An expressed her sentiments, stating, “The fulfillment and pride I have felt in guiding future generations since 2018 have been a source of great energy and honor in my life as the chair of the association.” She continued, “Though I will leave my role as head professor, I am grateful for this meaningful gift of becoming the first honorary member of the Chungang University Alumni Association. I will continue my unwavering support for the advancement of the K-beauty industry and the enrichment of our alumni network.”
