PharmaResearch Concludes 2026 Art Symposium in Busan

PharmaResearch, led by CEO Son Ji-hoon, announced the successful completion of its third 2026 Art Symposium on August 18 at the Grand Chosun Busan, located in Haeundae-gu, Busan.

The Art Symposium serves as a key academic platform to share the latest clinical experiences and treatment techniques for aesthetic products, including Rejuran. It facilitates knowledge exchange among medical professionals based on practical clinical experience, following previous events in Seoul and Yeosu earlier this year. Over 120 medical experts from the Gyeongsang region attended, demonstrating keen interest in the latest aesthetic trends.

This symposium was organized in response to the rapidly increasing demand for foreign medical tourism in Busan. According to data from the Ministry of Health and Welfare released in April, Busan is ranked second in the country, following Seoul, in attracting foreign patients, with an impressive increase of 151.5% compared to the previous year. Recognizing this shift in the medical tourism landscape, the symposium focused on sharing the latest aesthetic treatment strategies and clinical experiences with medical experts from the region.

Discussions at the event centered on key aesthetic products from PharmaResearch, including the PN-based skin booster Rejuran, hyaluronic acid (HA) filler Rejuvial, and PLLA-based biostimulator Everwrinkle. Speakers shared practical clinical experiences and strategies tailored to patient conditions and treatment areas, including combined treatment strategies.

Particularly notable was the session on Rejuran, which emphasized efficient treatment strategies tailored to the schedules of foreign patients visiting Busan. A major academic topic discussed was the high-dose approach termed 'Mega-Dose,' where attending medical professionals exchanged insights on the clinical applicability and treatment strategy development going forward.

The symposium also highlighted changes in the aesthetic market stemming from the increasing spread of GLP-1-based obesity treatments, which have become a major topic in medical discussions. During a panel discussion themed 'GLP-1 Tsunami: A Paradigm Shift for Aesthetic Practices,' various clinical experiences and strategies to address the changes in facial volume and skin condition, known as 'Ozempic Face,' were shared among the speakers and attendees. Medical professionals noted a rising demand for customized treatments utilizing skin boosters such as Rejuran, promoting conversation around consultation approaches for individual patients.

A representative from PharmaResearch remarked, 'With the expansion of foreign medical tourism and the spread of GLP-1-based obesity treatments, the importance of academic exchanges for sharing the latest clinical experiences and treatment strategies among medical professionals is becoming increasingly critical.' They further indicated plans to continue expanding academic exchanges, providing venues for medical professionals to share actual clinical insights and experiences. Additionally, PharmaResearch plans to host its fourth and fifth sessions of the Art Symposium in Daejeon and Seoul in the second half of the year, aiming to extend academic exchanges nationwide by reflecting local medical environments and aesthetic market changes.
