COSMAX Launches Export Support Platform to Facilitate K-Beauty Exports
COSMAX, a global cosmetics ODM (Original Design Manufacturer), has officially launched a dedicated service platform to support its domestic clients in direct exports. As the export of K-indie brands sees significant growth, COSMAX aims to bolster the export capabilities of its clients, contributing to the global expansion of K-beauty.
On the 24th, COSMAX revealed that it has added an 'Export/Import Support' section to its e-biz system, which serves as a communication portal for clients. This section will provide comprehensive support services throughout the entire export and import process.
Clients can easily register their support needs online after logging into the e-biz system’s export/import support menu. The areas of support available are extensive, covering queries on simple export methods and procedures, documentation assistance including the preparation of shipping documents and issuance of certificates of origin, inquiries regarding customs refunds, and connections to logistics and customs brokerage services. All of this can be processed through a single online portal, greatly simplifying domestic export and import procedures.
In addition to online document provision and Q&A support, practical training and issue consulting will also be available through both phone and offline channels. The support will be managed by a dedicated team from COSMAX's export and import management department, which has the top performance in exports among domestic cosmetics ODM firms.
COSMAX exports directly to 43 countries worldwide, and including indirect exports, it reaches over 120 countries. Following the receipt of the '200 Million Dollar Export Tower' award in the domestic cosmetics ODM sector, COSMAX is aiming for $300 million in exports this year.
Additionally, COSMAX operates a global supply chain for importing raw materials and materials from 46 countries. It holds AEO (Authorized Economic Operator) accreditation from the Customs Service for both export and import, as well as certified exporter status and patent operation of bonded warehouses, based on 20 years of accumulated export and import expertise.
This service establishment aligns with the structural changes in the K-beauty market. Recently, the proportion of small and indie brands in the domestic cosmetics market has been rapidly increasing. According to the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, the estimated export figure for small companies in the cosmetics sector in the first half of this year is $5.07 billion, marking a 30.7% increase compared to the previous year. Cosmetics are leading the export growth and account for 7.9% of the total export proportion of small businesses, ranking first among export items.
COSMAX has been developing innovative products for the overseas expansion of indie brands and recognizes the need to enhance the export practical capabilities of its clients. Particularly, the complexities of export processes such as customs regulations by country, proof of origin, and shipping documents have been identified as the highest barriers for small brands entering international markets.
A COSMAX representative noted, "The role of an ODM partner extends beyond just product manufacturing. The goal of this service is to directly share COSMAX's expertise in export and import to enable clients not only to commence exports but also to continuously grow in international markets."
