YUNJAC Launches 'Calming and Comforting Cooldown Pad' Amid Rising Cooling Product Demand

The ongoing heatwave, with temperatures exceeding 30 degrees Celsius, has led to a surge in demand for cooling cosmetics designed to quickly soothe overheated skin. YUNJAC, a high-performance skincare brand from Shinsegae International, reported a 20% increase in sales of its heat-soothing product line 'Calming and Comforting' during the period from July 1 to July 24, compared to the same timeframe last year. This increase is attributed to the combined effects of intense heat and high humidity typical during monsoon season, which have driven consumers to seek cooling products for effective skincare.

The 'Calming and Comforting' line, developed through extensive research for sensitive skin, comprises five products including toner, ampoule, emulsion, and cream, and consistently records high sales during the summer months.

In response to strong sales, YUNJAC has launched the new 'Calming and Comforting Cooldown Pad.' This product aims to expand the brand’s portfolio and enhance consumer choice while accelerating its strategy to penetrate the summer skincare market.

The new cooldown pad is designed to cool down heated skin and improve pore appearance and elasticity. It features YUNJAC's patented ingredient, 'Botacooling Complex™,' derived from six plant extracts, which can reduce skin temperature by up to 6.7 degrees Celsius and quickly calm irritations caused by external heat.

Additionally, the product contains nine types of peptide ingredients that help improve elasticity and reduce the number and area of enlarged pores in the T-zone. Human application tests have confirmed improvements in skin elasticity alongside a reduction in pore size.

The pads are designed for enhanced usability, featuring a vegan-certified microfiber sheet that adheres closely to the skin without easily falling off during everyday activities or when drying hair. The sheets can also be split into two parts for targeted care in contoured areas like the sides of the nose and chin.

To celebrate the product launch, YUNJAC will offer sample cooldown pads to customers who purchase any product from its range via Shinsegae International’s digital platform, SHINSEGAE V, during the period from July 31 to August 6.

A representative from YUNJAC emphasized that the Calming and Comforting line is favored each summer for its rapid cooling effects and improvement in skin elasticity. The brand plans to proactively respond to summer skincare needs and continuously expand its related product lineup following this launch.
