LG Household & Health Care's The Who Gift Set Wins Red Dot Award Amid APEC Event
The Who's Hanwoo State Gift Set, which garnered attention as the official gift at the APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) summit in Gyeongju last October, has won a prestigious Red Dot Award, affirming its design competitiveness on a global scale. The packaging, crafted in the traditional technique of ‘Najeonchilgi,’ showcases the beauty of Korean cultural heritage, receiving worldwide recognition.
LG Household & Health Care's The Who APEC Hanwoo State Gift Set and The Cream Shop's rebranding project have both been awarded at the 2026 Red Dot Design Award, extending the company's winning streak for five consecutive years. The Hanwoo State Gift Set was presented to global leaders during the APEC summit and reflects the elegance of Korean royal culture and artisan craftsmanship in a modern luxury package.
Notably, this award-winning set incorporates the ‘Chilchul Gukhwa Dangcho Mun’ Najeonchilgi box, crafted in collaboration with intangible cultural asset holders, seamlessly blending the high-end anti-aging imagery of The Who's product line. This exquisite design culminated in accolades from the judging panel for its visual embodiment of luxury K-beauty.
Previously, The Who's brand book (2018) and Royal Art Gift Package (2024) also received awards at the Red Dot Design Awards, establishing a strong presence in the global luxury cosmetics market with exceptional R&D capabilities and design prowess.
Furthermore, The Cream Shop, a subsidiary of LG Household & Health Care's U.S. division, received a Red Dot Award for 'Excellent Brand Design & Identity.' The rebranding effort has been executed to resonate with the global Gen Z audience through a consistent design language that reflects the joyful essence of K-beauty.
Through the introduction of a new emoji-like brand character, ‘Cremoji,’ The Cream Shop has unified its diverse product offerings under a cohesive identity. The brand's revitalized guidelines, encompassing color, typography, and iconography, have been well-received, ensuring that its vibrant energy is consistently communicated across the global beauty landscape.
A representative from LG Household & Health Care stated, 'The recognition of Korean royal culture's profound heritage and the unique joyful energy of K-beauty on a global stage through the Red Dot Design Awards is significant. We aim to continue presenting designs that articulate the diverse identities of K-beauty in our customers' language.'
